Afternoon all.
Nicos, what a considerate and thoughtful OH you have.
LD, glad you are on the mend at last. These things become so much harder to shake off as we get older.
We also have sleet forecast for tonight, then a day of rain tomorrow. I made a wholemeal loaf today so now I need a suitably chunky, thick soup to go with it.
That should keep the cold out. Made a fruit loaf as well, which has been sliced and stashed in the freezer. Then it's easy to take out a couple of slices and toast them, rather than eating the whole loaf in a couple of days. It's also handy for a quick bread and butter pudding.
I've been reading about the Miyawaki method of growing forests or small areas of trees fast. Has anyone else come across it? It seems so sensible when you consider how wild forests grow themselves, all mixed in and growing strong because they have to compete with each other.
