Good morning all. Cool but dry.
A visit to the hairdressers this morning and a quick grory hop.
Hope the mattress is not too wet gf.

Very satisfying to finish a jigsaw Bren.
I know what you mean Flo. So much time and effort invested in it and all of a sudden it's done.
What I hate is breaking it all up and packing it all away, but there is always an9ther one.

Maybe I should look at jigsaw puzzles. I haven't done one in donkey's years. Probably not since I was very young.

Glad your cooker is sorted, Nicos. Fingers crossed your washing machine engineer turns up soon, bramble.

Looks like my cold might not get much of a foothold, thank goodness. I seem to be doing a good job of either avoiding them or throwing them off quickly this year.

Brief interlude of warm weather today. I might take the dog out and then go kindling collecting. And then do some tidying and start food prep for the weekend.

I think joining here must have had some sort of rain dance effect , because now it's raini- I mean because now I have been offered an allotment! And I took it!
Off to the garden centre for some canes and hopefully a slice of coffee & walnut cake.

Fortunately the mattress didn't seem too wet. I think most of the water soaked into the thick brushed cotton quilt cover and sheet. A hair dryer has sorted the mattress out and the bedding is in the washer.

I have also just ordered two new hot water bottles from Dunelm, greatly reduced at the moment. The long ones with fleece covers only £3.50 each. They emailed back almost immediately that they were ready to collect.

Yes, really brightened up my otherwise rather boring week!! It's in pretty good condition actually, just some rough grass really but no rubbish or huge brambles etc to deal with, and it has a small greenhouse. It's a half plot but the whole thing gets decent sun so I can really cram it full.

I'll have to take a picture when I get the keys and go over next, it will be nice to keep a record of my progress.

Glad to hear you are fighting off that cold Snoop- so many people seem to have exceptionally nasty bugs at the moment.
We’ve had several trips to the GP and hospital over the past couple of weeks and all the staff seem to be wearing masks again.

HI afternoon all,i have my fingers x that i am starting to get better,what a game with the medics,i think they just got this bad bug on the radar,the trouble was they all will not listen to your actuall symptoms,only ask you unrelated things,my family have been brilliant,still got the cough but nowhere as bad as it was,the cold side has almost gone,but i still stuggle to talk,mostly squeeque and end up coughing,my body is very soore and bruised all around my mid section,and keep getting a dull pain in one side starts at hip and does the rounds up to my back,the DR this morning said over the phone Flu but no way,they were on the gpone call for a prox 20 mins,eventually i was subscribed steroids,and a puffer thing,all that time he could have seen in person more patients,what a waste of resauses,not had that blood test yet,got it on monday,it has been a good job i had family looking after me,or i could not have delt with it on my own,owing to not just feeling ill,but having no voice,through out all my stats as they say were normal,and no tempreture,still not know what the hell is is that had me,even the medics will not say,my rount now,i hope is onwawads and upwards,all i know it is some sort of respiratory thing,my recommendation is when you get the call for the jab,get done,will have a read back and look in again later,LD is back again she hopes

Mr Snoop is the same, LD. No real diagnosis but prescribed steroids and a syrup to inhibit cough reflex. In his case, it's the aftermath of a bad cold, possibly flu, but in itself it's not an illness. Not saying that's the same for you but whatever is doing the rounds is leaving people in a very poorly state. Glad you've got family to help you through it. Horrible to be ill on your own, especially when you're as poorly as you've been. If I remember rightly, bramble, you were similarly ill for a long time.
