  • Good morning all.

Another night of disjointed sleep, but I did get a few hours.

I've got two deliveries due today. A grory hop and a bulky Amazon delivery for my brother in law. The food will be arriving in the next hour. I already know that they haven't got "my" wine or "my" blue cheese.

I have already earmarked a large floor to ceiling cupboard for "spring" cleaning this week. I dread to think what is in the back of it, apart from, no doubt, lots of spiders. I think a trip to the local hospice shop will be necessary afterwards.

My grory hop has now arrived and is safely packed away. I do love not having hoick heavy bags of shopping around anymore. I'm more than happy to do a little shop in the high street of our local town or even a small shop in Aldi to get the other bits I need.

The delivery driver was telling me that it was -6°C when he got up this morning. At least it's slightly above freezing now, and looking as if we might get a glimpse of the sun at some point.

I don't know what time my other delivery is arriving yet, but from past experience with the company I'll guess mid afternoon.

I can smell Mr GF's croissant cooking now so I'd better go and make more coffee.

    • Oh this cold weather, I've had enough of it.
Rary does Mrs Rary knit? Mum made me some fingerless gloves which are really just a long tube for my hands to hide inside. I have a hole for my thumb

Mum has been having lots of appts lately, trying to get to the bottom of her blood test issues.
Had my own appt has been cancelled which now the new one isn't til summer which is quite a while between tests.

Anyway. Not much done garden wise, I've chitted my sweetpeas which have grown green shoots. They'll be flowering soon if I don't get them potted
I need to make a bread later.

      • Afternoon!
Been helping OH bringing logs back from our woodyard. One more trailer load tomorrow then they are all here.
Also managed to clear up some leaves and cut back dead stuff from around the front door.
A couple of more dry days ahead so it’d be good to get the front of the house sorted, and maybe start on the front gardens. They are in the shade so still sopping wet - Yuk.

Now sitting enjoying a warming brew.
Sorry to hear everyone’s frustrating medical ‘things’, but it does sound at least that Lottie and Mr Flo are improving at least!

LD, you can't possibly have a couple of pancakes? I reckon even one small egg makes at least five, unless your pan is UFO sized. What are you having with them?

              • Oh that hurt Flo, and Nicos, please dont encourage. With that comment from Flo it gave me food for thought, I looked out a fleece jacket that I havent worn for quite a while as its now a bit wide for me (please note those words anyway as my arm needs to be elevated OH zipped it up for me, which meant one gloved hand for holding the dog lead the other tucked inside my jacket holding my wallet oops I mean keeping warm.
CG OH used to knit a lot, but it was mostly for the children, she did knit a jumper for me once, and because my shoulders are quite broad she knitted the arms to what she thought matched, I'm still not sure why she thought my arms reached down to my knees 🤔 mind you the jumper would have been ideal for wearing just now and LD that is such a kind thought thank you
Seeing how some of you felt about PT its was one of the things I really enjoyed at school, I loved taking part in sports actually its the one thing I really excelled in,and once finished with school I kept myself fit and took up boxing which I enjoyed up until I hurt someone so stopped after that funnily even though I was good at sports I never really enjoyed watching, I preferred participation to watching
I really need to be getting out more ,I'm writing long posts and even worse I'm beginning to see areas that could do with a touch of paint have a good day tomorrow and pass on the smiles
