  • Morning all.

Rainy here, but very mild compared to last week.

LD, glad you have a proper diagnosis at last. Does your hospital not have an outpatient pharmacy that you could have collected your meds from before going home? You shouldn't have to turn out to get your meds when you are not well. Anyway, hope you start to feel better quickly. Sending virtual, gentle hugs.

    • Good morning all. Drynand warmish but rain on the way,
We are out for lunch with friends today but, unfortunately without Joan.

Nicos, yes it was the pump that the engineer replaced in the washing machine.
Hope you get the right tyres today.

Rary, hope you are on the mend.

      Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

      • The iron is safely hidden away now for the next few weeks Snoop …just had that mountain of new teatowels to flatten out. I don’t iron anything normally out of ‘tourist season’

Plan B ended up going back to sleep
Awoke hearing OH clattering around making the Dahl . So that’s one less job for me!
There is a really chilly wind now so I think I’ll go through a few cupboards upstairs to see what I can take to charity. Every little helps as they say. Just got my fingers crossed that I manage to get outside later as it’s stopped raining.
If not, then at least that’s another job sorted from the tick list of ‘jobs which I never get around to doing’

Anyone ready for another brew? Sorry - not got any cake etc…( although I might just make one as it feels ‘ that sort of day for baking’)

        • Just having coffee Nicos, but thanks for the offer. The cat shot out in a huff when the Grory Hop was delivered. He doesn't realise that it includes his Pocket Pillows. I'll try to explain it to him when he comes back

            • Oh Lottie, things sound as if they're pretty awful. I hope the antibiotics kick in quickly. On a practical note, if you're having waterworks problems in bed get some disposable bed pads, preferably with adhesive strips to stay in place. They'll save you masses of laundry and discomfort. (Amazon, next day free delivery).

I woke up the second time to a major flood. Aaaarrrggghhh! A leaking water pipe. What a mess! The plumber has been and sorted it it, now for the clean up. (In fact four of the disposable bed pads, upside down, have just soaked up litres of liquid off my kitchen floor.) I am only just getting round to my second coffee now. No wonder I'm in a bad mood.

I’ve got a tea loaf in the oven so I’ll pass you a piece when it’s cooled so you can sit down with a brew and have a few minutes peace whilst stuffing your face

                • Good afternoon, several very heavy showers this morning now some sunshine but very overcast, LD I hope you get well soon ,
We didnt get to our usual Thursday coffee morning as I'm not allowed to drive yet, we have had several phone calls with offers to take us there, but OH has said no to that, I think shes feart incase I start lifting things, I removed the hospital dressings yesterday, they were a bit wet after having a shower, and still OH wouldn't wash my back, I tried explaining to her that as its my left hand that is all strapped up I cant use the backscrubber with my right hand, her answer "learn"😕 anyway now that the heavy dressings are off I am now using my hand more, which leads to OH telling me off😏 it was definitely a big mistake letting OH come in with to see the consultant, ah well just another few days till I get my stiches out then I can tell her the nurse says I need to start using my hand as normal, enjoy the rest of the day and pass on some smiles

Is there a ‘Stitch fairy ‘ up there?
If not - there should be
£1 per stitch should be the going rate

                          • What a miserable day it was today. Hope those of you who are ill and/or injured feel better soon.

Yesterday and Tuesday wasn't so bad here and I had a chance to go and make a start on my new plot. I thought I'd take a binbag and collect up all the broken plastic pots and shredded compost bags that are in the greenhouse, clear it out ready for next month. But since id taken the plot, it had been vandalised! Glass everywhere, and they'd damaged the panes that were plastic too! Not happy!

                              • Well, that’s just awful Beetlebat…so sorry that has happened to you.
Have you had a chance to other plot holders to check of vandalism is a regular occurrence in the site?
I wonder if someone was jealous you got that particular plot?
