    • Good morning all.

It's sunny, but chilly here. We're not getting into double figure temperatures here today, according to the forecast. I'm just delaying getting out of bed until the heating has worked it's magic.

I've got an online grory hop scheduled to arrive between 10am and 11am.

I thought I'd posted this about 3 hours ago, but no I evidently never clicked "post".

I've got confirmation of my grory hop delivery but ..... none of my favourite blue cheese, no frozen croissants or frozen corn cobs. We used to get Aldi's frozen croissants, but over Christmas, and afterwards, they didn't have any ordinary ones in stock. Mr GF wasn't impressed by their almond ones. Since then, he has been really happy with the Pret ones from Sainsbury's. It looks like I'll be going on a croissant hunt today or tomorrow, when he will run out.

The grey murk is back now, and I don't think rain is far away.

I hope the vet can help your dog, Snoop.

Rary, I hope your hand is healing well. Do you have to go for physiotherapy afterwards? I'm just remembering back to when Mr GF did a pretty good job of trying to amputate his index finger with a circular saw and spent weeks after his op going for physio. Now you can't see a trace of a scar, and the skin graft was amazing. He also has full mobility in it, in fact he can't remember which hand it was. That was when I discovered the Bank Holiday "emergency hand clinic" for DIY disasters.

I think my delivery is here!

      • My youngest GG is coming for tea tonight before she goes book shopping in Meadowhell. She rarely comes to eat and I know this visit is to avoid meeting her poppa's new lady friend who will be at their house for the first time tonight. I did check with my son in law that this would not be the official introduction. She is the quietest of the three girls and the most sensitive, so I can imagine how she's feeling.
