I did mine in the gh last yr and they were strong. I need to make room to get all of them back in there to grow on.

Good afternoon, cold with a fair bit of rain today, daughter came down to take me to the clinic as I was getting my stitches removed, once she dropped me off I told her just to go back home as I wasnt sure how long it would take and as I had my umbrella with me I would just walk home, actually it didnt take too long and I had 8 stitches to get removed, everything looks fine the wound is nice and clean with no signs off any problems with it, I asked if it would be safe to drive now but as the nurse pointed out as I was told three weeks if any accident my insurance would be nul and void, which to be honest is understandable as its my left hand which is the hand that is used for gear changing, and though it looks fine it is still a bit tender, you never know hitting it during an emergency you never know what may happen, so again I need to put my husband hat on and be patientwhen I came out the rain was off so I walked down to Lidls which wasnt that far away and there I bought a French loaf and one or two other things and once through the checkout I realised I didnt have a bag with me, but as the rain was off the umbrella served well as a shopping bag especially for the bread, once back home I ventured out to the greenhouse where I noted that my potatoes are showing, so need to start dropping hints about the cost of new potatoes. Well raining again so wont be going out for another walk just now, enjoy your day and keep smiling

Glad to hear your hand is healing well rary.
It's been raining in short showers between the periods of sunshine. Lord Ginger has been a couple of times, I think to check if Frank's still here.
Oh dear Lottie, it is taking its toll on you. Little consolation I know, but your bloods must be nearly normal if they haven't contacted you.

Afternoon
My sweet peas were sown in October left in the GH then moved to a north facing bedroom window when it was minus temperature out. They’ve been back in the GH for a while and doing fine, I’ll sow more to give me a longer picking season.
Heavy rain this morning the of and on rain since lunchtime.
It sounds like your hand is recovering well Rary just keep following the nurses orders.

Really sorry to hear your news, LD. Hope you manage to get a response from the surgery. Like Nicos said the other day, it can be a very long and draining process, recovering from pleurisy. I'm afraid you're going to need even more patience than Rary.
As for you, Rary, it does rather sound like you were trying it on a bit, hoping to get the nurse to say yes you could drive...Well done on the brolly initiative, though. Just the kind of thing Michael Caine would have done in a spy movie.
I can imagine you, cutting quite the dashing figure with your umbrella.
As for our dog, she's not too well. Waiting to hear back from the vet. We agreed with her we'd call but I've sent her photos. Looks to me like the leg is ulcerated and that's not a good outcome. Anyway, fingers crossed the vet says it's totally normal, because after all she'd know better than me.
Good to hear Lord Ginger is still on the scene, Frank or no Frank, Flo. Hope your evening went well yesterday.

It was lovely having the youngest GG on her own. She's the quietest and the book lover. We've just had another long barking session because Lord Ginger appeared on the windowsill again. I'm sure he thought Frank would have gone by now! Hope her leg heals quickly Snoop.Granny on the Game in Sheffield

Morning all.
Chilly this morning, but due to get much colder for the next few days. Also wetter, though no snow at our altitude, thank goodness. So job number one - well, number two after some paid work - is to fetch a load of firewood in.
Booked in at the vet's tomorrow. Will report back then. She has rather a gloomy view, but we're determined to prove her wrong. Dog has just gone for breakfast, trotting and bouncing about and wagging her tail. So she's not gloomy at all. Quite the opposite, in fact, as I suspect breakfast is her favourite time of day, especially seeing as she got an egg this morning.
Right, muchos, muchos workos today, so better get a move on. Have a great day, everyone.

Mornin n’alln’all
I was about to say that it is a lovely and dry morning…..but it’s just started to rain again
Hope the GP gets things sorted quickly Lottie….and Snoop- that your vet sorts something positive for your sweet dog .
Rary- not much longer to wait…you can do this! ( I’d say ‘ sit on yr hands’ - but that might not quite be the correct idiom in your case) Absolutely no point in rushing things if it’s going to set you back…How frustrating would that be? (My OH is exactly the same when he’s supposed to rest for any reason
)
Tis lovely you spent time with your granddaughter Flo , I guess you both will be helping each other through this difficult transition x
For me today- not quite sure. I’ll have a brew and see what direction my thoughts take me.

Good morning all.
It's cold with blue skies and sunshine here. A lovely change from the interminable grey murk.
Snoop, I hope your dog is okay.
LD, I hope you get your test results sorted. Although our surgery tends to have at least a five day delay on results, on two occasions, when results have been unexpected, the doctor has rung us the very next day after the test. On one occasion they told me to take Mr GF straight to casualty. I can only assume that results that need immediate attention are red flagged in some way. I hope you start to feel better soon.
Rary, try and calm down and curb your impatience. It will be worth it in the end.
Keep warm everyone.
