  • Good to hear your GP is being thorough with the tests Lottie . Try not to be too concerned about the cancer test - it’s best to be thorough even if it’s highly unlikely xx
We have them routinely every 2 years , but it does sit at the back of your mind until you get the all clear. x

Bet you feel a bit uplifted having been out of the house even if it was an outing to the supermarket? I hope you impulse purchased at least one thing You deserve to treat yourself to something.

Quiet afternoon for me. Feeling exhausted for some reason, so I decided to be kind to myself and sit and read.

    • Afternoon all.

Glad you got to see the doctor, LD. Well done your daughter-in-law for making that happen. Agree with Nicos about the bowel cancer check. Sounds like you've got a really healthy diet. Good on you.

As for here, the dog came home with us, much to the vet's surprise. Apparently we're amazing dog nurses and she's doing very well 'for now'. There's a lot of expectation management going on that Mr Snoop is turning a deaf ear to. But anyway, all good for now.

        • Good afternoon, a dull start this morning but actually bright and warm just now our son dropped of his dog before he went to work, so was out for a walk with her then had to get read for attending a funeral, after that I did a little bit of shopping so have had a fair bit of exercising today, I even. got out to the greenhouse for a wee while but just did some watering, though I also need to get them potted on but that will have to wait,at present when my hand feels a bit cold the finger turn blue so hopefully this will rectify its self once I heal a bit more, just now my hand /wrist is what you might call goupin, so definitely taking things easy.
Dont know if any one else has had problems, but I had some difficulty getting on today, dont know whither the problem is with my tablet or with the Vine programme but had to put my password in three times and I keep getting a message saying Invalid server response please try again, this message has come up multiple times since I started this post as I have said not sure what/where the problem lies, anyway have a good evening and keep smiling
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

            • Goupin Rary?…does that mean throbbing?

I was just thinking!…once your other hand is sorted , you’ll be able to hold onto ladders better!

Have you got a date for that one being done?

              • Goupin... unsurprisingly, that's a new word for me. Hope you've not been overdoing it, Rary. Are you allowed/encouraged to take pain killers?

Fingers crossed (well, my fingers crossed, don't you try it) your difficulties with the Vine resolve themselves.

Lottie it’s good you had a face to face and hopefully you’ll soon be yourself again.

Both of us have those routine bowel checks, it doesn’t take long and the results are back in a week.

                        • Mornin n’alln’all
Another frosty start to the morning.
We have a week of sunshine forecast which is sounding very positive on the gardening front

We’ve decided to have bacon butties for breakfast. OH smoked a lovely piece of belly pork and a side of salmon last week so we’re slowly munching our way through those.
Anyone else fancy a bacon butty?

Again, no set plans for today. Maybe make a few casseroles and a bit of baking.
I’ll let OH decide what we’re up to. Might be nice to take the camper out for a run!

Whatever you get up to, enjoy your weekend…and remember those smiles!

I best pick some daffs and make a leek tart!
We used to live in Cardiff and there were loads of celebrations. I wonder if that is still the case today?

And tis March!…rabbits rabbits rabbits…. ( wonder why saying that is a ‘thing’ ?)

                              • Good morning all.

There's still a frost here, but it is starting to melt. Yesterday was like a proper spring day. I even saw some bare arms while out and about. I'm not that brave. "Ne'er cast a clout 'til May is out" as my grandma used to say. Not that I took any notice when I was young.

I remember one of my aunts who would have started as a teacher just after the end of WW2, telling me that when she took her first job, in a slum area, several of the young children in her class had their torsos wrapped up in lard and brown paper at the beginning of winter.... to supposedly help keep them warm. Yuk!

Lottie, I'm glad that you actually got to see a doctor in the end. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Nicos, thank you, you have just given me inspiration. I'm going to make a cheese and leek tart. I've already got a bunch of daffs, nearly fully open, on the dining table.
