Good morning all.

It's still a tad chilly here. I'm just waiting for the heating to warm things up before I head into the kitchen in search of coffee.

....... Coffee couldn't wait any longer.

The magpies still seem to be checking out all the nearby trees this morning searching for the perfect nesting site. I've put some corn on the cob to defrost for the birds. It can go outside shortly. Last week when I didn't get any frozen corn on the cob with my online shop, I decided to grab some in a different (A**a) smallish supermarket. I opened the bag last night. It is absolutely awful. Not sweet and very tough! I'll put two bags on my online shopping list next week. I don't want to run out again in a hurry.

I have also just decided that I missed the smell and taste of homegrown tomatoes so much last year that I'm going to grow some on my large, south facing, lounge windowsill..... just a couple of plants. ... maybe sungold.

I remember pancake day being like a never ending conveyer belt, by the time I'd finished cooking every one else's I'd gone of the idea of eating one.

Nicos i think we all feel like that going to the dentist, my old dentist once said he'd be a bit concerned if anyone enjoyed coming to see him.

It's a lovely day here, very sunny, but the wind is chilly. I've been out in the garden with Frank. He never tires of retrieving his ball - it's me that's cream crackered! It's so nice to see the washing drying outside too. I hope they're not late picking him up today, I could do with a rest

We sat out and had ‘drinkies’ at 4.30 pm….with a jumper on and in full sun it was delightful

Evening all,sorry not feeling it today,i am not having a good time again,with one thing or another,my health are all over the place,and this coughing is getting to me with not having the rest and sleep i need,also my emotions are afecting my tummy,want to cry and feel physicaly sick and let down,but have to have something,somethings i cannot share on here,apart from just been dumped,i was not supprised,but cannot help how i feel,i might just try a pancake again,is quick to do,dentist uuuggg,shivers,

So sorry you are feeling down. Not at all surprising in reality - and not helped by emotional stress on top of it all .

Really sorry to hear your news. Not what you want on top of being physically ill. Really hope you start to recover from your health problems soon. Heartbreak is hard to heal. But Nicos is right, do you have any family, your daughter-in-law, who would you could talk to in person?

Good evening, have missed the last two days but had intended to post yesterday but finished up preparing for the garden club, and when at that I struggled a bit getting it set up as when trying to prepare the screen I couldn't get the screen high enough due to the pain in my back so someone had to give me a hand, the had difficulty sitting on a chair so did most of the presentation standing, though it still was after enjoyable evening. This morning when I got out of bed my hand was a bit swollen, fortunately a friend has suggested that I use pillows to elevate my hand, I am now experiencing pain in my knees caused I think because i am doing more walking fortunately I will be able to get back to driving on Friday, when I read this back you would think I was getting as old as well he rest of you lot so off to find something to smile about sohave a good evening and keep smiling 🙂🙂🙂

I had a play with the demosser/ scarifier yesterday on the worst ‘lawn’ I knew it was bad but I managed to get out a full one meter cube dumpy bag full of moss And yes…there is some grass left there. I knew it was bad but not that bad!!!
Plenty more to do still on the other lawns.

Yesterday's weather forecast for today was horrendous, but this morning they're now saying rain but not a deluge. Phew. What a relief.

Plenty to be getting on with indoors, as per. Fell behind on work yesterday due to weather preparations and breadmaking. Not Mr Nicos's volume of bread, but more than I'm used to. I was expecting us to get flooded in and Mr Snoop's mood is much improved if he knows there's bread in the house.

Hmm, Rary's first drive... garden centre or seaweed? Sorry to hear about your aches and pains, young man. Mind you, I find it hard to imagine you ever do much sitting down, driving or no driving. You're always on the go.

Scarifying is hard work, Nicos. Sounds like you had a good result, though.

Morning all.

Sunny and bright here. I shall be off out for a walk soon. Everything went OK at the dentist, although one tooth is on the watch list. The dentist may have to fiddle with it next time.

Hope the sunshine is cheering you up a bit LD.

I ignore the moss in my grass, Nicos. This is a very mossy area, it grows on the tiles of all the houses, so not much hope of ridding the grass of it. I've decided to learn to love it, like the Japanese do. (Very Zen of me!)

The temperature is climbing rapidly this morning. It's sunny and 8°C, expected to reach 14 or 15 degrees later.

Lottie, look after yourself and try and give yourself a treat. It sounds as if you need one.

Rary it's nice to hear your sense of humour is intact, even if the rest of you is falling apart around it.

Snoop, what a relief to escape a flood. A bonus to have lots of nice breads.
