morning all,not looked out yet,i am still wondering where the weekend went to,amazing how life can turn on it's head,this time the right way up,still croak and cough,when i try to talk,people can understand what am trying to say better,that is untill the voice dissapears and a coughing fit ensues,but things seem to be getting that little bit better slowly,the pheonix WILL rise again,i now have a meaning to life once more,sometime in the week i will have to see about organising the pricking out of tomatoes and peppers,is a good feeling seeing new life spring up,am going to try the choir for the first time in 5 weeks for the full time,only to sit and listen to how things are progressing,living in hope i will be able to join in the concert,up to now is not possible,will have to sit in the audience,never mind,have a good day all,and look after yourselves,

Good morning all.

Despite a couple of hiccups, a better night's sleep than normal. The car was white over with frost at 6am, but it's gone now and the sun is shining. Snow has disappeared from my local forecast for this week.

I am so happy with the raspberry jam that I'm considering buying some frozen cherries at some point and making some cherry jam. The joy of using frozen cherries would be that they are already de-stoned. Whenever I have de-stoned cherries I have had to so it outdoors in old clothes, and afterwards it looks as if there has been a bloodbath. Also the offer of buy three bags of frozen fruit (mix and match) and get the cheapest one free is on until September, and I can't resist a bargain.

I've really been fancying some fresh crab recently and had even spotted a recipe for crab and saffron risotto online. The only good local fishmonger, where I might get one, is a mobile one who sets his van up in a nearby small town on a Thursday morning. Mr GF has a podiatry appointment not too far away this Thursday.

Time for more coffee now.

No set plans today. Got some basic domestics to get out of the way, then we’ll see. Certainly I need to bring wood in for the fire.

Lovely morning here but big puffy clouds are billowing. Don't hold out much hope for a dry afternoon, but never mind, it was great earlier.

Mr Snoop has been telling me off for not getting out more into the garden. And he's quite right. Wednesday is supposedly going to be a dry day, so will try and get going then. Meanwhile, I've got plenty to keep me busy at the computer. But I'm counting down the months now, I think.

Glad to hear you're picking up a bit, LD, health and heart-wise. And a BBQ in northern England, CG. Is that the first of the year?

Good afternoon,dry but cold today, we t out show this morning OH is going out with her old workmates tomorrow, Tuesday being cour regular day for shopping, she wanted to go to a shop near the coast, where unfortunately I noticed that the tide was in, this scuppers my plan to go and collect seaweed while shes out tomorrow, which proves the saying from Burns, " The best laid schemes of mice and men gans aft agley" not doing much today as I need to sit on ma hands, figuratively speaking, as having been a bit ambitious yesterday my hand felt as if it was burning last night,and no I havent told OH no sence if worrying her, or more likely me getting wirried by her🙄 right off to do a bit of reading so have a good day and remember to keep smiling 🙂🙂🙂

Hand feels ok today Snoop but have had to take pain killers as my back was extremely sore, so that could possibly mask anything, but my fingers go blue if cold, hoping that this will stop once the swelling goes down, I can feel OH watching me all the time as she knows I don't usually take painkillers and whenever I move its a casual what are you doing or where are you going and yes I know shes just concerned, but it means I can't sneak out to do anything😕
Seeing Flows question made me wonder at what age women retire in Spain🤔🙄v
