Nicos, one Spring, before I had any greenhouses, I ran out of windowsills for my seedlings and ended up using the parcel shelf in my car. It worked well and they were certainly well travelled by the time I planted them out.

I used to use our car for proofing bread on occasion. Trouble is it can get quite hot in a car. Was it you, GF, who had to open your car windows just the other day because it was too warm in there? I guess you'd want to be careful you didn't overheat or scorch your seedlings, Nicos. And you might still want to bring them in at night depending on what they were.Comment

Afternoon, another beautiful but chilly day!! Hoping the good weather lasts into next week as we are heading down to Derbyshire to see our son for a couple of days then off to Centre Parcs in Wiltshire with our daughter and family. Looking forward to it!
Will give all en route a wave as I pass!

I took Mr GF to the podiatrists in a nearby town earlier. He was moaning all the way there that he really didn't need to go, but he admitted afterwards that his feet feel much better now. I went to visit the mobile fishmonger on the way home. He'd already packed up and gone home.
I'm not surprised. The wind feels as if it's coming direct from the Arctic today.
I did manage to pick up a bunch of daffodils and have double checked that I've added water to the vase this week.
I've made a trifle this afternoon and have just put a chicken in the oven.
Snoop Puss, I do remember opening the car boot on hot days.
