Thanks everyone for your very kind thoughts and wishes.
A quick update….she’s slightly improved!
She managed to stagger a few wobbly steps before falling over , eat, drink cautiously, and been to the loo with support.
Still looks very poorly but we’re now thinking that it’s not inevitable she’ll be put down tomorrow.
Don't think we’ll get much sleep tonight.
keep those fingers and toes crossed please- it seems to be helping xx

Hope Hibou is ok in the morning Nicos, animals can recover from things far better than us humans so hopefully Hibou will recover well

Good evening, just a quick visit just to let you I may not be posting for a couple of days as I am on holiday just now, weathers not the greatest but still nice to have a change of scenery, keep safe and remember to keep passing on the smiles

Morning all.

Another cold, grey day ahead. Yes, welcome to our world, I can hear a lot of you saying. Got another week of this to go then we're into light drizzle by the look of it.

A few jobs on the cards and I'm sure I can find a few more to stop me from sitting around twiddling my thumbs and eating biscuits!

One amazing thing to report. Mr Snoop says he's feeling overwhelmed by all his stuff in his junk pile and he's starting to think of getting rid of a load of it. I never thought I'd see the day. Mind you, he's still got to actually do it, but even thinking about it is a huge breakthrough.

Right, on with the show. Glad to hear you're enjoying your break, Rary. Hope you're doing OK, Bramble. My impression is the weather hasn't been too good down south either.

The sun is shining but it's frosty. Waiting for the washer to finish.

….and Hibou is vastly improved!
Still not out of the woods yet, but the steroids have made a heck of a difference.
The vet didn’t make eye contact with us when we arrived but his face visibly lit up when he saw her.
It made me think that being a vet must have its delights, but also massive downs coping with grieving/ worried owners.
She can see better too thank goodness, so ,for now anyway, her quality of life is returning bigstyle.

Phew. I only had about 3 hrs sleep checking she wasn’t fitting , but did my utmost not to disturb her,

She’s tucked up on our bedroom rug now having a snooze. Think I might join her!
I was going to garden but want to keep a close eye on her so I’ll pop out and do a bit here and there.

Good morning all.

I hope Hibou is still improving, Nicos. Give her a cuddle from me.

The first thing I did this morning was check my email to see what is unavailable/substituted on my scheduled supermarket delivery. Only two items unavailable. Eggs, (free range, British, mixed size), I've still got 9, and two bags of Terry's chocolate orange segments. Yes, I was being a pig ordering 2 bags, but I love them. As Dawn French would say "They're not Terry's.... they're mine!"

The sun is shining brightly here. It looks beautiful outdoors, but it's cold. There is still frost on the north facing roofs.
