Such good news, Nicos. I bet she'd enjoy your company if you were to go and have a snooze too. Probably therapeutic for her, even. All in all, a good idea.

Good Morning AllThat's excellent news Nicos
Very sunny here and temperature is creeping up. Enjoy your holiday rary. I've just been outside dead heading the daffs. Going to have a bit of a blitz in the kitchen now I have the hot water back. Do you find that washing machine minutes aren't real minutes CG?
Himself never talks about clearing his rubbish, he just complains when I try to throw out anything of his. He must have about ten pairs of shoes that he hasn't worn for years, but they have to stay in the bottom of his wardrobe.

Good day all.
Nicos, so sorry to hear about Habou, but delighted to hear she's improving.
Rary, enjoy your holiday and hope you get the weather your hoping for.
Snoop, your right about our weather here, it's been very unsettled, wind and rain and the temp is low, however we're still enjoying it all, the weather is just the icing on the cake.
All men must be the same...my hubby has a shed full of tools and bits and pieces. He has a tidy out about once a month, and then puts everything back in again in case he might need
Have a good day all.

And your hands begin to harden.

Nice to see Hibou is improving Nicos, news no doubt which will help you also, and many thanks for thegood wishes for our holiday, the weather today has been very good, hoping for the same tomorrow, as its our 59th. wedding anniversary, and if the Weather is fine we could go for a nice long walk, that way OH would be too tired to go out for a meal😁😁 just joking we are staying full board, just in,case some of you would think I would do such a thing🙄 anyway OH cant walk any distance, though she would manage a restaurant, if I was paying😕. I am beginning to think some of you,,,ladies?? are in contact with my OH, the way you go on about the necessary materials (which women call stuff) that we men keep in our hut, cupboards, drawers, please remember is backup for emergencies, why I read somewhere, where a man used a piece of wood which he had stored recently, 98 I think it was, for a job his wife wanted done, just as well he thinks of the potential future problems, so consider that the next time you start going on about he things you think as rubbish, as I am quite sure not every husband has a hearing aid which he can remove when his wife starts 😃 Have a good day tomorrow and find something to smile about so that you can pass it on🙂🙂🙂Last edited by rary; Yesterday, 09:54 PM.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Good morning all.
Hopefully the hairdresser is coming this lunchtime. She got a puncture last week and cancelled.
It was -2 last night and everything was white in the wee small hours. We have now reached the dizzying heights of +2°C, and the sun is shining.
It's good to hear that you're enjoying your holiday, Rary. I presume it's also forcing you to rest your hand.59th wedding anniversary! I'm sure if that was us Mr GF would be telling everyone that it was about the equivelant of 4 life sentences.
I hope Hibou is still holding her own, Nicos.
I think my washer can go on next. Washer minutes are like hospital time. They belong in a parallel, ever expanding universe!
After our haircuts I think I'll do some emergency shopping of unavailable items in the online shop ..... CHOCOLATE!!! I have got chocolate mini rolls in the kitchen but they are earmarked for the base of a Black Forest trifle.I've also got some mini smarties but I mostly use them for decoration.

Mornin n’alln’all
Great news is that Hibou continues to improve thank goodness. Certainly not herself yet both physically and mentally, but we’re keeping a very close eye on her.
Shes just spent 15 mins sitting with the sun on her face on the patio then asked to come in and is now sleeping.
Rary!…firstly, many congratulations to you both!…clearly very much child bride and groom. I hadn’t realised the minimum legal limit in Scotland was so low!
As for hoarding ( blushes) I’m the hoarder chez nous
And quite rightly so…otherwise we’d be buying new all the time- what a waste of money. Nothing like a bit of ‘recycling’…that’s what I call it….Whats the motto or every good girl guide and scout? ‘ be prepared’ ?…see, that’s what we’re doing ! We are well ahead of our time Rary
Lots of catching up for me today - not got anything important done over the past couple of days( apart from the main priority of Hibou of course). I really must focus even though monitoring Hibou comes first ( she’s at high risk of another ‘seizure’ for a few days yet)
A desperately needed grory shop has to be done today or tomorrow. I wonder what I’ll impulse purchase this time?
We are trying to kick start dieting again so I do need to be a bit more selective though.
Enjoy your day feels- seems like we are in for a couple of warmer days - but it’s still cold in the wind.

Morning all.
First things first: congratulations to Mr and Mrs Rary.
As for hoarding, I'm sorry to tell you that you lot are all amateurs in comparison with Mr Snoop. He has a 60-square-meter 'garage' that has never had a car in it and in which it is hard to set foot. He has bits and boxes all over the house. And outside he has a junkpile (my term, not his) that covers approximately another 60 square metres. He's got his work cut out sorting that lot out.
He's fixing a wobbly chair at the moment with a piece of wood from somewhere in the pile. This piece of wood and its usefulness will justify all the rest because you never know when you might need it.
Right, better get on with things. The day has run away with me already.
Have a great rest of the day, everyone.

Good day all, where has time gone again,Congratulations on your 59th year both, the cats out that bag now lad,
Nicos so sorry to hear about Hibou, but pleased she is improving, what a shock for you,
The sun is out here, but feels cold,am still coughing but not so bad, cannot talk only croak,it's 6.5 weeks now, still nothing from GP about iron for the anemia, think they waiting results off next test in about 9 days time, thus still feel very tired out doing nearly nothing,as for JUNK,they say one mans meat and all thatbut you can also forget what you actualy have saved for a rainy day, either that,or cannot locate the retched item, just carry on saving and have no shame when others either chuck it out and spend out on another item, repare and save money, hold your head up high and stick out the chest with pride, you have done something good, have a good afternoonsigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these

Shopping done..and the only impulse purchase was a packet of anchovies in chilli oil ! Quite impressed with myself
Gosh lottie - as MH says…it’s dragging , but at least heading in the right direction.
I’ve just passed on my two favourite wooden garden chairs to our friend who has repaired them several times in the past. He was thrilled as they are really comfy. ( very high back - enough to be able to rest your head back supported)
I COULD have stored them in the barn….but didn’tThey need a bit more work on them , so now is the time to pass them on to him permanently.
