Morning all.

Glad your weather has improved, Bramble. Still raining here and looks like it will continue right through to the end of the month and beyond. Even the dog wouldn't go outside this morning it was raining so hard. Just looked at me as if to say 'You expect me to go out in this? You've got another think coming.'

This is when a greenhouse would be extremely useful as I haven't even started sowing my seeds yet. And the weeds are just loving the conditions, now knee high, but the ground is so boggy there's not much I can do about them. And just think, in three or four months time I'll be complaining about the lack of rain! Not surprising I haven't seen the smiles round here much. I bet they're all enjoying the sunny conditions up north. Are they stopping over at yours these days, LD?

Good morning.

It's a murky, grey sort of start to the day. I'm just going to set the washer off with our thick brushed cotton bedding in it, so I hope things improve later. Sunshine and a breeze would be helpful.

I had somehow convinced myself that the clocks went forward this weekend. I always thought they changed on the first Sunday morning after the Spring equinox. However, having googled it, it appears that I am wrong. We have to wait another week.....and I will only have a 23 hour birthday this year, which hardly seems fair! There must be some lucky folk in October who have 25-hour birthdays. Obviously one of them is pinching my hour.

Late on this morning…I slept for 10 hrs
Not surprising having had to keep hourly checks s on Hibou overnight in case she fitted.

Good news is that she’s vastly improved. I don’t think a stranger would notice changes in her tbh.
One more week of medication then we’ll see.

We have more rain forecast this afternoon so I’ll be doing more de-mossing this morning before then.

GF…typical about losing an hour on your birthday Does it happen often?
I always seemed to be on overnight oncall in the autumn..one more hour of work but not paid extra. Must happen to a lot of people but it doesn’t feel fair does it?

Fingers crossed. I read a report a week or so ago that Spain will possibly get wetter due to climate change. The last few years of drought wouldn't suggest that was the case, but you never know.

I'm afraid I'm responsible for hogging all the extra birthday hours. Because of the way public holidays fall a day apart, we often get visitors at that time of year. Last year, my birthday went on for a whole nine days!

Afternoon all,much warmer today,first time not put heating on,bet the energy companies are not happy,as their not selling it when it's warmer,had a little dance yesterday afternoon,but shattered before the end,had to go sit down,this is not good,i am loving having that someone in my life,makes all the difference,we have known of each other for 3 years,through choir and tea dance,as for the smiles,they only stop here for a short time then go to visit others,i only need a top up now, so not be greedy,have a lovely afternoon

Morning all.

Forecast for today is cloudy with the occasional sunny spell. Only a slight possibility of rain later on. Got stuff to keep me indoors this morning, so fingers crossed the rain holds off and I can actually get outside and do some weeding.

Need to do a bit of baking as well otherwise we'll run out of bread. Other than washing up after that, I'm hoping to avoid any domestics.

The weather here has turned cooler and cloudier, but still a good day for gardening!

A trip to the tip is in order today…yup…moss.
We have now managed to scarify about half the lawns. They look rubbish now But as they say…”it’s a job well done”

I read there was supposed to be a good show of Aurora lights in the UK yesterday evening. Did anyone catch a glimpse of them?
I found out about them too late , but I still checked out on this site…certainly worth keeping the link!
