’Tupperware lid sky’ today…that same murky grey all over. At least it’s not raining!

Thanks for your kind wishes peeps. Hibou finishes her steroids in a few days so she should be at her best by now…so things don’t looks so good. Still…we’re doing our best for her and still keeping our fingers crossed. Yesterday she enjoyed sitting in the sunshine watching the birds on the feeders , and Last night she was sprawled in front of the fire- upside down legs akimbo purring away…so life is still ‘ok’

Absolutely no plans for today, I think we’ll play it by ear

Flo!…you were Brown Owl?…oh wow…I absolutely loved being in the Brownies!. My parents helped me organise a street sale to raise money for a toadstool and we raised enough to buy a flag too for the parades…and I got to walk with it . I was sooo chuffed.
Wonderful days indeed.

We had Sun on the walk and quite warm it was too, also clouds of midges. Quite cloudy again now though.

Good morning all.

A much more civilised hour now. I'm expecting the grory hop in the next hour, and evidently everything is available.

The drizzle has dried up and at the moment the sun is shining through the window onto my bare feet and warming them up. It feels really nice.

It sounds as if Hibou is at least enjoying life's simple pleasures, Nicos. I imagine that you are also spoiling her.

I need to call at the chemist's today and check on my brother in law too.

I always wanted to be a brownie, but there weren't any near to where I lived. Somebody tried to get me to join the Girl's Brigade but it wasn't for me. I think I was just too rebellious. I did try and organise a strike at Junior school at about age 7 or 8.

Really sorry to hear about Hibou, Nicos. Sounds like she's still enjoying life at the moment, though, and that must be nice for you and Mr Nicos to share with her.

You were a very good girl, Flo. Now you're a grannie on the game. What happened? You making up for lost time?

As for me, I got thrown out of the brownies. For biting my fingernails. I was an understudy sixer (whatever they were called) and had loads of badges. Very surprising no-one had noticed my nails before. Probably just as well they hadn't, to be honest, as at least I got some use out the uniform.

Just to say you would not believe how far the glass and gloopy contents of a bottle of gaviscon type stuff can spread when "somebody" accidently sends it nigh on into orbit, while supposedly adjusting their reading light..

At least it smells pleasant and minty.

Hibou is back outside sniffing around the woodpile in the sunshine. Yep…it finally broke through

I missed out all the other groups and went straight into doing Duke of Edinburgh Awards as soon as I was old enough. That was great fun too- especially as I went to the an all girls school and the local boys school teamed up with us
We’d go on a 20 mile hike , get home and changed then meet up at a disco afterwards. Bye heck we must have been fit back then.

I best go and keep an eye on Hibou….and do a bit of gardening near her until she wants to come in.

Good afternoon, dull with occasional sunshine, memories of school days, oh boy, the school I went to was divided into different houses, manly for sports, I was voted to the position of house captain, unfortunately I was banned from this position as I had used language to a teacher and it definitely wasnt French🙄, anyway the house I was in won the school shield three years in a row as I was sports champion for those three years, years later when being a scout leader I guided 5 boys to being Queen Scouts. LD I dont think I would be in a group to meet up, it would be to dangerous for me, as OH might learn of some of the things I have mentioned on here😏 now going out to the garden where I will set up a couple of tunnels one with polethene the other with enviromesh, so have a good day and enjoy yourself, remember to pass on some smiles🙂🙂🙂

Actually Rary- sorry, I keep forgetting to ask…how are you getting on with your hand now? Are you able to use it carefully in the garden?
If so, I guess stops you from getting out of washing up duties now
