can I remove laptop cover?

My cursor button keeps sticking, and the laptop is generally fluffy and linty under the keys.

I've tried dusting and vacuuming it.

Can I somehow remove the cover to clean it properly? I can't see any screws

mmmm... not sure about a lappy, do the keys come off?
on my keyboard i regularly prise the keys off and clean out underneath ( not the space bar, its a begger to get back on cos of the spring) has to be done due to the inordinate amount of wine that gets spilled on it.
I would be reluctant to take the cover off a laptop.

you can get cans of compressed air for cleaning puters.

Have you tried cotton buds dipped in some alcohol [not wine]?

I have taken off a laptop casing and cleaned in and around - I have done the same to keyboards and boxes of main pooters.

A tip - if you do take off all the keys, either take a picture of the keyboard BEFORE you start pinging them off (you ever seen how high they can fly when pinged?!) or draw the keyboard layout - trust me on this

I have just tried on the Acer laptop that I am using and the keys just clip on and off. Just get behind them and lift straight up. I don't know if it would work on every make of laptop but it does on this one.

definitley. i have a printout of mine and lay the keys on the paper as I do it, i only do one row at a time too, just in case the cats scatter the lot.

My partner is an IT consultant and computer repair man and he's always got computers stripped down and lying about. I have seen him take the cover and all the keys off a laptop so it can be done. But agree with above do make a record of what goes back where

Taking key tops off is one thing but taking the casing off a laptop, especially the top casing, is best left to someone who knows what they are doing.

On the top casing there are a few ribbon cables that are easily damaged.
