I know a song that'll get on your nerves, get on your nerves.....

    Just remembered this little gem.

    YouTube - Jordy Lemoine - It's Christmas C'est Noel

LadyWayne and I sing the chorus to each other each year on Christmas morn.

FTONY (Kirsty version) is just the canines genitalia. On my last trip home I have since seen video evidence (no recollection at all) of me giving it large, (me and Shane share the same teeth) with some bird who I didnt even recognise being Kirsty.
Have a soft spot for Blue Christmas by the King as well.

No-one seems to remember (or maybe just not like) "Do they know it's Christmastime"
As for favourites, all the old traditional ones, and especially the proper carols. Favourite carol "It came upon the Midnight Clear".

                Another thought
"I'm not dreaming of a white Christmas"
I think we could all dream of 'not a White Christmas.... a peaceful one'

It came upon the Midnight Clear was the first carol I learnt to play the recorder to. I could do melody and alto lines (but not at once!) - I'd play one and my sister the other.

A friend's little boy said his favourite carol was 'In the Blinking Winter' - I think of that one when it snows!

That is a challenging one to play! My recorder repertoire started with 'O little Town of Bethlehem', 'Once in Royal David's City' and 'Good King Wenceslas' (that's about as easy as they come<g>)
There are 2 tunes for 'Bleak Midwinter'. One I can play, and one I like<g>

I used to be able to sing all the descants for those (I was in the school Christmas choir), and Oh Come All Ye Faithful - that was the hardest and the highest.

Not Hark the Herald Angels Sing? That descant REALLY goes high!! (yeah I was in school choir too<g>)
not a descant, but a real challenge to sing "Ding Dong Merrily on High"

I sing in a choral society - alto - so I know the alto lines to all the traditional carols. When they come on the radio I naturally sing along with 'my' part. Mr Flum sometimes comes in while I'm warbling away and says 'What on EARTH are you singing?' You forget that you're not actually singing the tune!

Yes actually you're right - I think I always remember Oh Come all Ye Faithful because it goes straight in there on a high with 'Sing' and by the time you've got to 'exhultation' you hope you haven't passed out!!
