  • Cuttings dying

    Hi,

I brought some Taunton Deane and daubenton kale cuttings a few weeks ago and they are all dying. They've been kept in the utility room which is light but doesn't get any bright light. I've been keeping them moist but not wet. There is no heating etc in this room. What am I doing wrong? Can I pull them back or is it too late? Thankyou so much everyone in advance

When you say dying...are they wilting or discolouring ?

Kale cuttings sulk big time for a while then they usually perk up. Maybe pop one or two into a clear glass jar with water so you can see when roots start to form.

Yes, leaves wilting (only left one/two on each cutting), going pale and on some of the cuttings have died off completely.

Ok I might give that a go. Some look like they've gone completely so worth a go. Thankyou

Don't give up on any, sometimes they look absolutely dead then when you least expect it - start new growth from the top.
