bit worried about my fish :(

    Hubbys pond is 5ft deep and he keeps koi, this s the first year we have not fed them wheat germ as the temps are soooooo low !!! the cat fish still gets his sinking pellets.
    We never turn the pump or the filter system off and have huge air pumps running to.
    We have bought a small heater to keep the pond from freezing so hope it works !!

          We don't get much in the way of ice or frost - if we do it only last a day (we are on the salty coast). Any ice lifts off the butt quite easily, I just gently remove it.
