GRRR dont make me come up there.

is your central heating linked to a thermostat, its like a thingy on the wall with numbers, you turn it up or down depending on how how warm you what it to be ( did i do that right?), if it is, you need to set it at room temp, which is 68 or 18 ( some degrees thingy) it controls when it comes on?

and no, there are no doors invloved, although i may feel the need to slam your head in one...........nicely just to regain brian cells

i am convinced at this point you should NOT be allowed to live on your own

ok , i am not sure what '6' is, in real terms, it depends ( frikkin stupid if you ask me)
can you tell me what the first number is, and then the highest number on the dial?

at least then i can work out the average.

            jeeze that sux big lemon

            seriously.

14 is not bad,but its not good either, 18 is room temp (68%) with the cold weather now at this time of night you probrably need 22 to feel warm, you NEED to get it looked at, if it can t maintain 68% ( and this is after actually having it on for a week) then somethin is wrong, 6 is probrably top temp, in a warm house that might be enough, but you need to heat the house through to maintain that temp.

sorry hun, but you need to get them out and put a more up to date dial in.

In the meantime, have you got draught excluders? You could be loosing a lot of heat through cracks in doors/windows.We've got a sock snake for the bottom of the door...& I need to make an extra huge one for the tops of the curtain poles.(curtesy of our landlord we have extra thick double lined curtains...only problem isthe curtain poles stick out several inches from the wall, allowing all the cold to come breezing in over the top!)
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

ok i just had a proper look and a fiddle lol ....... it actually only goes to 5 dunno where 6 came from, when you turn the dial onto each number it comes up with the temperature it should be 1 is 5 degrees, 2 is 11 degrees, 3 is 18 degrees, 4 is 23 degrees, 5 is 30 degrees, once it settles it tells you what the temp is now currently 8 degrees, so when the thermo thingy was on 30 degrees, it only went up to 14 in actual temperature

ok , so 3 is where you should set it and leave it, 3 is 18% which is room temp, that means if it drops below the heating should cut in ( in your house?)so set it at 3 and turn it up in the evenings if your toes are dropping off to 4, then back to 3 when you go to bed
, then the heating doesn't have to work so hard to heat the house
                        saves you fuel.
close all the doors, so you are not heating spaces you are not using, every room that has a radiator, each rad should have a turney thing on, so you can switch that rad off without screwing up your system, that way you dont have to heat rooms you are not using.

usually its the bathroom rad thats the main rad for the whole house, do NOT turn this one off. ( knowing you its in the chicken house)

i turned the one off in robs room, cos it's empty ...... and took the one out of the kitchen so i could put a cupboard there ........ the one in the hallway doesn't have a turney thing on, cos they said it didn't need it cos of the thermostat, but the thermostat is in the utility room not the hallway ..... nope there is one in the shed though, but thats an old one i saved cos i thought about putting it in the kitchen but theres no room now

do i have to leave it on at night?? then, i was gonna leave it off ...... god i is sooooooooo confused lol
