paypal was holding the money for several days before the seller got it. I have no idea why.

This has happened to me a couple of times: if you don't have funds in your Paypal account, or some other problem, you get an e-cheque, which takes about a week to clear.

I don't post anything out until my payment has been received and cleared ... I got ripped off once by being too trusting.
