the carers of the child are entitled to the child tax credit and child benefit (family allowence) and are allowed to make there own claim for it also once custody is sorted out even if he is on a pension he will still have to pay maintaince for her and can be done trough the csa or court they will take 15% of his income he receives, and this will be done even when they start getting the tax credits and child benefit. with regard to the child tax ect i dont know if they have to be just listed as the gaudian or have custody. but cab should be able to help.

When he was at work he worked hard and long hours for very little pay. When he was at home he never so much as made a drink for himself let alone anyone else. He even moaned at my sister for not putting the furniture back when she was still decorating, even tho she had cancer he never helped. He unfortunatly has always been the same, comes from a family that were brought up to belive that women do all the housework while men watch. She thought about leaving many times but once she had cancer she couldnt do it. Near the end of her life my other sister thought about moving my sister and niece in with her to give them a better life at the end but didnt really have the room. She sent my bil to his family for a week and moved in with my sister, she is so glad she spent that week with her.
The thing is my sister and her OH that now have my niece living with them, have lost everything because they declared themselves bankcrupt after their son failed in business, They had to sell their house and move into rented accomadation that their son now helps to pay the rent. They have no spare money and need to claim any money they will be entilted to,this really angers me that other bil gets away with, but not for much longer. ( wink wink )
