Sitting in the camper on top of a hill watching 9 paragliders circling around in the gloriously warm sunshine. ( flipping chilly wind though!)
Looks amazing…but I’d not be brave enough to try it!

Embers in our ancient little range that made it really easy to relight this morning. Kitchen cosy and warm in next to no time.

Couldn’t help but get excited ( my inner child clearly!) but listening to thunder and watching hailstones bouncing off the driveway.

Wall to wall sunshine and the sound of the waves.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

The fruit trees we put in up by the house last year are showing signs of having survived the winter. The pomegranate is going to be a handsome tree. Lovely colour leaves.

                    Hi All,
Well I finally plucked up the courage to return and must say 2023 looks to be a good one especially with the Granddaughters 1st's coming up so lot's to look forward to. But don't kids change fast ? Ivy now 8/9 months old already and crawling around like some bionic SAS sniper

Really glad that Christmas lurgy went after a week or so really gutted that Crimbo dinner and New Yr's day breakfast never got finished, only the second time I can remember but watching the Granddaughter open (With a little help) her presi's

Anyway back on topic, have started to read again after a couple of months lay off and will be back in the garden to get ready for the year ahead. My promised greenhouse never materialised so no seedling popping their heads through, but will have another go at sowing with the advice given to me from Bren In Pots earlier this year in our conservatory so fingers crossed will all work out in the end.

Just glad that everybody on here seems to be happy and looking forward to whatever the main thing is you make the most of what you can do and do what feels right to you never mind any naysayers you just enjoy as their are plenty out there who Cannot,Will not and Do not bother.

A belated HAPP NEW YEAR! to you all

                    Geoff.

The e-mails, cards and flowers I've had from work since retiring, it's nice to have the accolades. I rarely post on Facebook but it seemed like a good way to let people know and I've been blown away by the response

Good morning all. I had an unexpected visit from the son of the elderly man I took lemon curd and goodies for. He came bearing gifts. Fresh pork pies from a local bakers. And his father has not shared any of his goodies with him! You can guess what we had for elevenses.😋

My redcurrant and blackcurrant bushes have also survived the winter. On the downside, all the raspberry canes got ripped up and washed away in the flood. Better something than nothing, though.

My module grown spring onions have finally popped up their heads.
I’d almost given up on them.
