Hello playmates........haven't had time to look through the previous posts but I trust you are fit and well!

Me, I'm sitting here bl**dy freezing as the heating and the hot water boiler has decided to give up the ghost again!

Hopefully I'll get someone out to fix it tomorrow (the damm thing always waits until it's probably the coldest spell we've had! (Now where did I put that hot water bottle?)

Shame about the Newcastle result though.......two Michael Owen goals before half time and we can still only manage a draw!!!!

Here ya go, a Bride Brief on understanding rugby:
                1. Drink beer/wine/vodka
                2. Wear special shirt that only looks good with No: 1 spilt on it
                3. See 30 pairs of chunky thighs come on the pitch (I don't count the Ref)
                4. Learn to shout (straight after everyone else) 'KNOCKON'
                5. When you see the man with the whistle wave a yellow card, shout 'Crap, so not a yellow' only if it is 'your' team
                6. When you see the man with the whistle wave a yellow card, shout 'darn right matey, sin bin for you' only if it is 'their' team
                7. Repeat No: 1 throughout

When I saw the title of the thread I thought that you southerners had finally learnt to appreciate the one true game (i.e Rugby League!) and were taking about Castleford Tigers.

ok i get it to a certain point, now explain the difference between league and union, without Affecting the thigh factor

rugby at least does not have the dreaded offside rule................does it? cos i am a weird female , cos apparently i understnd the offside rule and can, without trouble demostrate said rule, plus a pretty good offside trap, using salt , pepper and tomato ketchup

Union has more thighs on the pitch, 15 in Union as opposed to 13 in League!

Rugby does have off-side, but you get the bestest thrill from screaming 'turn it over, turn it over' - eh Piglet

How can you take any sport seriously that wears satin shirts and shorts and has a group hug instead of a scrum.

Oh to still be allowed to ruck properly, 18 stone and 3/4 inch studs made many a reckless person rue the day they were caught on the wrong side of a ruck with me in it.

hmm 15 to 13, but is the thigh quality consistent across the board, i do NOT want to sacrifice quality for quantity.

oh and group hugs? nah, they have to be really scrumming or whats the point?

Quality is deffo on rugby leagues side. League is a fast non stop game so the players have to be lithe and muscular. Rugby union forwards have to be big (and dare I say it, sometimes FAT......fat equals cellulite!!!) so they can fall against the opposition and push them forward.

League tackle around the neck and union tackle arouind the legs.

I used to play rugby union but enjoy watching a non stop rugby league game!
