Perseid meteor shower 2023

This weekend is the best time to see the meteor shower.
Frustratingly we’ve had cloud cover for the last few events and tonight looks like it may be heading the same way….but I thought some of you fellow insomniacs ( or puppy watchers)might be interested in seeing this link ?

Cloudy for me last night …and then slept through until daylight.
Will check again over the next few nights- they’ll be there, just less of them.

I was really lucky to see quite a few in quick succession. Got up in the night and decided to sit outside for a bit in the cool at just the right time, it would seem. Best display I've ever seen and that despite a bit of cloud right between me and Perseus. Didn't make any wishes. Would have been greedy.

Well first year I’ve been out in the countryside for this…pitch black, mostly due to the clouds both nights! Grr!!

Well, I'm sorry to report that on my drive back home late last night, I saw an amazing one. The very best I've ever seen. Long-lasting and such a bright, thick trail. I thought about making a wish, but decided just seeing it was enough.
