I know this is really really sad but as you may know I work away from home for 4 weeks at a go.
What I would really love to do is set up a webcam in my garden so I can see it and torture myself watching all the rodents that live round my way eating everything I've planted.
How easy/difficult would it be.

One thing to take into consideration, my veggie plot is about 75 metres away from the nearest power source from my house.

Sorry got no answere for you on your question. Im not that great with computers either! Any problems with mine and I have to get on the phone and call my son to say when can you get here and help! lol this last part of your quote brightened my morning baught a smile to my face and a small chuckle!

However your idea sounds great! Remember if done well it could also double as good means of security! Perhaps id and evidence if your property were to be broken into or vandalised while you were away. Not that I would wish that to happen to you!! I'm just reminded of a story on the news a few months ago. Some rich person was away from home in another country, He saw his home broken into on web cam, called the police back home and the intruders, none the wiser they were being watched, were arrested on the spot. cool!
