I have made a small plot in the field behind me using branches to form the boundary, today I was in the plot when I noticed a wren hopping through the branches, the first I have seen this year, and while out there was a squad of long tailed tits making their way down the hedge row ,so I headed into the conservatory where I could watch them, they seem to be quite skittish whenever there are people about, they descended onto the feeders and as they move very fast it was impossible to get an exact number, but think there were fifteen or sixteen of them, lovely wee birds to watch, there's usually a number of tits at the feeder, mostly blue tits unfortunately there have been very few great tits about this year
I saw a pair of robins in the bird area so I was putting more mealworms out there & there was a big bee, then I thought in my head what pollen have you got, what flowers are out here, then it went past a green border, flew by my lavender that’s not flowering & took me to my flowering currant that has new flowers all over it,did the bee telepathically understand me & showed me the flowers
Loads of daffs out on my return from hols.
I need to explore what else has been going on in my absence. I would have checked today but it’s been pouring down!
