      Hi Again,
Reading some of the posts on here and realising everybody else is in the same boat just getting on with life and the odd grumble also realising I will have to start wearing my glasses while on the PC..

        Hi All,
Having gone to the Dr's earlier this afternoon for a Heart / Diabetes check up / Blood test results and the verdict is I am healthy as far as my blood tests are concerned, same weight as a year ago ( Still overweight IMPO.... ), Heart is doing well as is the diabetes so just keep fine tuning where I can so I am happy that the man upstairs is allowing me to live....

          Hi All,
Well I say all but it looks like I am the only poster in this thread so everybody else must be happy with not posting....

As for me just seeing my Granddaughter again even if a little subdued, due to the beginnings of a cold we think in (YO-YO mood) possibly picked something up from her 1st week at nursery but that's life eh ?.....

          Geoff.

I’ve been really happy the last few days…well, evenings really.
I absolutely love these darker evenings, the woodfire lit and candles burning whilst we settle in for the night all snuggly.
Especially when I can hear the rain and wind lashing around outside!

                Hi All,
The Granddaughter started Nursery and has had a glowing report for her 1st week, the daughter said after the 1st day it's now straight inside without a kiss bye bye....

                    Found some hedgehog poo!
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

                        Hi All,
Seems that the Granddaughter doesn't hug or kiss any more since starting nursery, maybe it's I just have a face only a mother could love....

Seeing how relaxed & contented our rescue cats are now, one of whom spent the first two weeks hiding in the wardrobe & only coming out at night when we were asleep! Click image for larger version

Looks like they’ve found the snuggliest chair in the house!

Wonderful….you’re clearly doing everything right to help them settle in! Well done

                                Thanks both.

They've been with us for just over 2 years now so they've certainly found all the snuggliest places

The early days were a challenge - both estimated to be 4 years old at the point of 'adoption' (although we think one is a little older), originally from a multi-cat house of about 12+ cats, passed from RSPCA to Cat Protection, 2 foster homes & 1 failed placement before us.

It was quite sad to discover they didn't understand how to play with toys or us when they first arrived - they would sit with a confused look whilst we proffered string, fishing rod style toys, balls etc. - but all they really needed was patience & love.
