Your patience has paid of Andraste, they both look very comfy and at home on your sofa.

Thanks Bren I only wish the blanket was the right way around so I could have bragged about the quality my crocheted / ribbing pattern skills

That's another thing that makes me happy - if it doesn't move fast enough, crochet something for it

        Hi All,
Andraste - Rescuing these pets and making them family members is so rewarding, we had Four cats all rescues sadly Jessie 1 the youngest was ran over not long after our rehousing, we were all gutted someone had run her over and just left her on the grass verge, even though Name Address & Phone number on her collar tag, worse of all it happened literally fifty yards up the rd......

The the other three cats and two border collies all passed away old age over the years and we still miss them all to this day, however Alfie who is with us now is enjoying a life very different from what he was forced to endure so he has help heal the missing family members gap and despite his odd quirks we wouldn't swap him for anything even if he barks at Next door opening their door, Hedgehogs in the garden at night, Birds on the conservatory roof just great to have him around when he is not asleep!!!........

The other happy moments are seeing my mum laugh at her great-granddaughter, along with talking again after a 20Yr gap over a silly reason just a great feeling. My advise to anybody just talk and don't make the same mistake I made by letting things get stupid personal you never know what is coming up in your road map of life.....

        Geoff.

Thanks Geoff. Ours are indoor only after a loss to a car a few years back. We said no more pets after breaking our hearts (again) when the last went but the house just didn't feel right - OH didn't know what to do of a morning as the kettle was boiling with no one needing food or a head rub! We've taken in a few rescue/unwanted/rejected/homeless cats over the years & I think a special bond is formed. They all have their own personalities & quirks just like people so I think of it as adding another to love not a replacement 🙂

Your happy moment with your mum made me happy too - I'm so pleased for you to have healed a rift & be able to share more happy times together ❤
