guess that depends whether you like her and whether you want her not to come next year

i'm home alone for christmas this year so i'll doss around in my usual gear
next year it'll be me and my son, maybe my daughter too if she decides to start talking to me and her brother again
would be nice to have a proper family christmas one day with a girlfriend or wife and kids etc etc

We always used to get new clothes for Christmas from Mum and Dad, toys from Father Christmas, so we always used to dress up.

I usually start in dressing gown for pressies, which even last year were at 5am then into everyday gear, then change into posher stuff before dinner (pinny over the top). DD does too, but OH and sons don't bother.

We don't see anyone on Christmas day, visiting is saved for Boxing Day, they come to us, or we go to them.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Me and my ex sister in law turned up one christmas wearing the same dress yet we were so different OH's gran thought we should wear something a bit warmer as the dress was very short ( mini ) low cut and very thin.

I used to get dressed up after I'd cooked the Christmas dinner, now I can't even be bothered cooking the Christmas dinner! Last year we went for a walk in the morning, had a drink in the pub, came home & I made a prawn curry with all the trimmings & got slightly drunk drinking wine while I made it. Found this pic. of me with my late dad & our dog, must have been taken around 1986, I'd cooked dinner & put my best frock on & was rather tipsy!

I dont know what to wear this year cant really afford new and I havent seen anything I like anyway. I used to dress up and the kids always had smart new clothes, I have been trying to persuade flowers to wear something a bit glitzy but she wont. She recently had new jeans and bought herself a nice red and black check shirt from new look which I was going to get for her but she bought it with her pocket money. I expect she will wear that.
