As you say, life is for living. It took my Sister ten years to realise that she didn't have to stay in an unhappy marriage, just for the sake of their Son. He adored his father, and she never tried to persuade him otherwise, unlike many people do (yes, I have read the other thread - it's so unfair on the children!). He saw through his Father eventually too, and now that my Sister lives abroad, he has chosen to stay with his Gran, which speaks volumes about his fathers parenting skills.

Well done to you for making the big decision, and best wishes for a lovely Christmas and a fantastic new year. Always remember, we're all here if you want the company, or if you just what a quick rant and rave.

I know that when my 1st marriage broke up, on new years I was so releived that the year was over and I was absolutely determined that I was putting my troubles behind me and that things could only get better. With that frame of mind, most of the problems just brushed off me.
