LOL Hey - you know what she's like - she'll do it anyway!
And, we'll only find out when it's time to start guessing hatching times and choosing names!
Besides, I'm out of work and can't afford the diesel to drive up there and wop her.
...and I want to get some more chooks and my Mum doesn't want me to (it's her garden), but my Dad did ask me this afternoon 'When are the white ones coming?'
S*d it, I'm off to the Little Red Hen Rescue website...All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

ok i've decided ....... i'm gonna be good ...... much as i want to hatch some more, i really want ducks and as theres no runners on ebay, and my garden isn't actually a field, i'm gonna put the effort into hassling the council, as to when they are letting us have the allotments, and then build a mahoosive run down there and get lots
tisn't stopping my finger itching though lol

Lynda. put some mittens on then you won't be able to type on ebay!
Had ducks when I was tiny, dad bought the eggs from a farm to eat then realised they were still warm & borrowed a hen from next door to hatch them. They need LOTS of room, access to water they can at least duck (!) their heads in & splash about in, which gets very dirty & has to be changed regularly & they will eat every single plant you have unless contained!
Pic. of me with our ducks when the world was still in black & white!
P.S. Dad then wrung their necks when they grew up to cook them, I didn't speak to him for weeks & wouldn't eat any either!Attached FilesInto every life a little rain must fall.
