We found an old tin bath on ours - properly buried too! We inherited a few patio slabs from the middle of the old greenhouse but found more elsewhere - a spades depth down - & ended up with enough to make a base for the shed & to put in front of it
Everything else was basically rubbish except for some waterbutts & the rhubarb patch. We were excited to uncover a bucket until we lifted it & the handle came off still attached to the top & the base stayed on the ground lolLast edited by Andraste; 27-10-2024, 05:56 PM.Location: SE Wales about 1250ft up

Went to the plot yesterday and discover someone has removed all the grass from outside my gate(Another plot neighbour did this for me)
Started to clear the path down the side of the beds and at the end I discovered a compost bin and an apple tree. I can now get to the pond.
Another plot holder said he will chop the big weeds down for me(Kind of him)
I know my plot still looks a mess but as long as I am clearing the paths I can go back and remove the bits ive missed.
Here is some pictures I took.

Always aim for the best result possible not the best possible result

There is no snow now but this is the plot so far. Going to go down this week and try and dig a bed over. It's full of roots under the soil. Got some manure put on the beds. Not using all beds so going to cover the ones I am not using.
Apparently I have three corned leek on my plot so need to dig them up and put them into pots to stop them spreading.2 PhotosCarrie

Also is it wise to use a tiller on the beds if it's full of roots?
I will just keep pulling the weeds when I see them.
I just think it will be easier to use the tiller instead of digging(cant do to much as I have be careful with my back)Carrie
