Here are some ideas I have for this year….

-Hotwater bottle ( always a favourite for me to give!)
    -Thermal merino wool top
-small ’telescope’…like a one sided binoculars
    - flat ear speakers in a headband for Bluetooth listening at night
    - vouchers wrapped up with a chocolate bar
    - anything made from homegrown produce
    - an Xmas wreath for the door/ gate

Do please add to the list, or ask others for suggestions

Lets make this easier for ourselves

I've just had a eureka moment with a couple of my hard to shop for relatives ..... booze.

      Christmas cakes/puddings.

      Warm hoodies.

I used to have a monocular. Loved it. So pocketable. Sadly it got dropped and was never the same again. If I buy one of those, it'll be a gift from me to me.

I don't have many gifts to give this year, but Missy is giving a bottle of whisky to her 'uncle', the man who gave her to us and comes to visit her every two weeks, bringing tubs of fancy cat food for her. In fact, she's setting the tone: everyone will get home-made edibles and shop-bought drinkables. Shamefully unimaginative, but probably welcome.

With two granddaughters now 20 and 21 I find vouchers for hair dressers and nail bars are well received.
          Make up mirror with lights.
          Power bank for their phones.
          Head phones.
          CDs of their favourite music.
          pyjamas and fluffy socks.
          Make up and cosmetics.
          Gift boxes from Lush stores.

          For other family and friends.
Voucher for dinner or afternoon tea.
          Books
          Jigsaws.
          For the males
          Shirts, Tee shirts.
          Shower and shaving sets.
          football, shin guards.
          Adult Lego.
          Booze and chocolates,

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I particularly love the idea of powerbanks. They always come in handy. Not that I’ve got one ( are you listening Santa?)

Adult Lego, Bramble? I've never even heard of that. I shall have to go and have a look.

My latest purchases. Bath toys for little boys.

I also think power banks are brilliant. Mine will charge my phone 3 times if need be.

^^^ after having experienced 48 hrs without electricity recently, it just feels right to have a back up like that.
Fortunately we were able to charge in the campervan and car , but I do like to feel I have all aspects covered

Simple teatowels are always a useful gift!…as an extra of course.

I’ve just ordered a thermostat flask too. They always seem to come in handy.

Looking for ideas for almost 4 year old girl!! Really struggling this year. Asked my daughter and she sends links for things costing £5.00. Great you may think but as she is our only grandchild we’d like to buy her something decent.
Son is happy with money, his partners child, 15 yr old girl, a hairdryer.
Daughter chose a bracelet and a nice handbag from Next. OH has asked for a polo shirt and I’ve requested an afternoon tea…I absolutely love going for afternoon tea especially if it’s accompanied by a cheeky wee Prosecco!
