Just to remind every one ,that the doors to the "Gardeners Rest ",will be closing promptly at 12 noon on 2 nd of January 2025,guests are asked to please vacate their room by 10,30 am,so the we can finally get the last of the bookwork done,and prepare the key to give back to Nicos
WE hope you will all have a fantistic time of you lives at the party,also to remind you all to please come to the lounge on new years day 12 noon
,where we will be delivering closing speeches,over drinks,

Flo, Snoop and Nicos read the announcement. Plenty of time for more fun, then.
"No need to use the GR's curtains", Snoop said. "I brought a spare blanket with me just in case I felt a bit chilly. No need as the bed has been super snuggly and comfy. But we can use the blanket to make a rear half. It's a huge blanket, could probably even make a foal outfit for you too, Nicos, if you want to join in."Comment

Snoop and Nicos looked at each other. "Limbering up" did not feature in their vocabularies. And Snoop couldn't even sew, so was rather dependent on Flo and Nicos's abilities and the scissors, needles and thread that she assumed were in Flo's magic bag.
"Snowball, anyone?" she suggested, by way of a placatory gesture. Flo and Nicos looked out the window to see what the weather was doing. "Not that kind", Snoop quickly said. "The ones that come in a glass..."
In next to no time, Flo and Nicos had marked out the pattern, cut up the blanket and had shown Snoop what she needed to do. And the three of them were busy stitching when...Comment

Miz Spelling was getting into the party mode,tomorrow will be a busy hecktick day,but it will be nice to see everyone having a Fab-u- lus time darlings,dancing around to the sounds off the "cheecky monkey's " and the "Giggle gaggle bangabouts" both groups are repalacing the other 2,that was originally booked,but unfortunatly dropped out,on account of the rhumours that have been banded
about,they will however have to be taken to task,as they are refusing to give us back the deposit paid,i have it on very good authority that these new ones,are much better,

Mrs Go-4it did a final check in the kitchen before going to bed. She was sure something wasn't quite right in the GR, but just couldn't put her finger on it.
She had seen some magnificent masks appearing from the workshop earlier and couldn't wait to see Flo's costume. From what she'd overheard and half-seen, it was going to be a cross between a pantomime horse, a minotaur and a griffin.Comment

Being unable to sleep, Nicos quietly headed down to the kitchen.
She’d heard someone down there earlier but it was quite empty now.
For some strange reason she had a sudden desire for chocolate cake and ginger beer. It’d been years since she’d had a midnight feast…but it didn’t feel so exciting on her own. But there, in the fridge , was a partly eaten chocolate cake ( looked like a chocolate fudge cake at that!) and half a large jug of ginger beer.
”Looks like someone has been here before me” thought Nicos helping herself to a rather large, sticky, piece of cake.
The fire was quietly glowing in the lounge and she snuggled down into the comfy chair thoroughly enjoying her guilty pleasure. Then fell asleep, sticky fingers n’all."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Miz Spelling was on here rounds,she saw Nicos in the chair,then decided to leave her to have her sleep out,everyone was having a lay in,a wise decision given that it wil be a late one tonight,and am sure the ladies do not wish to turn up with bags under their eyes,then a thought came to mind (them girls have so many late nights,would their masks even hid their bags),she quietly crept out the room,not a even a little squeek,,...........well the carpenters did a good job on laying the floors,sigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of theseComment

Flo and Snoop came down the creaking stairs looking for a drink - the extra helping of bacon they'd had at breakfast the day before had left them quite thirsty - but spotted Nicos sound asleep. "Cake...", they whispered gleefully and went off to look in the fridge. Yes, chocolate fudge cake and a large jug of ginger beer, still half full, surprisingly, even though Nicos had helped herself to a big glassful.
They took their plates and glasses into the room where Nicos was sound asleep, and though they giggled and chatted away, without whispering, Nicos didn't stir. Somewhat suddenly, the pair looked each other in alarm and then went out like a light, Snoop mid-sentence, Flo mid-laugh.Comment

Mrs Go-4it found Flo and Snoop fast asleep when she came downstairs to make breakfast. Nicos was awake,but very dopey, and certainly not making sense. She could see the remnants of chocolate cake on their plates.
She immediately suspected foul play. She was just going to ring the police when she decided that, if they were as useful as they had been in the past, it would be pointless.
She went to find Mizz Spelling....

"Which of you put the chocolate cake in the fridge?" demanded Mrs Go-4it.
