"Tell you what, I've got another good idea. Whittling. We'd need an outside expert, but I'd love to be able to whittle, make a spoon, that kind of thing."

As for the seeds, I'm intrigued.

well Snoop,if you look in shortly you will get the idea,whittling is another idea,but,it is rather messy and we not want peeps crying about splinters,or use the kitchen knive,but i do accept your fire man idea,would you like to speak to him please,or does he scare you,

Just then Bramble came in...I have bern so busy, I haven't had a minute to myself...but now that I see the jigsaw and book club opening I would love to join in.
As for trying new varieties to grow next season...there are so many to choose from.
Knit and natter sounds interesting...we could compare experiences going through life...the topics would be endless...

good evening everyone said Miz Spelling,so ,if i start with 1 of my exotic seeds,it was bred by LD,21 years ago,in honor of a special birthday,it is an F1 hybrid,a floral cultivar,,it took S knack,and W Power to help out,it was an orchid,name "oc-to-Pus",it was an orchid,it was orange in colour,had the usual petal shape,what made it stand out was the 8 long thing petls that cane up and around,thus resmbling an octupus,it was a 1 off beauty,formaly know as "The Ocutpus Orchid",and hope i day to recreate another,it did not last long as it fell to bits when the cake was cut,and i never got a picture booo hoooo,now what are yours

Good news Bramble,pleased we have things right for our visitors,will have to sit, and work out next weeks order of activities,we aim to please all,Miz Spelling sits back down quietly,waiting for someone else to come forth with what they got

Mrs Go-4it watched all the arguing about swimming certificates with amusement. She did not have a single one. She could surf before she learned to swim, had never feared the sea, and in real life, she could show them how to swim between the hulls on a big catamaran to clear the galley drain, or show them how to don snorkel and flippers and swim ashore from a yacht anchored in the bay to sip cocktails with friends on their patio. Still if anyone was drowning she was sure a lack of certificates wouldn't matter....

She wasn't about to give up on the Bake Off contestants easily, they could last out until New Year's Eve she hoped, despite their obvious shortcomings. Maybe they too had hidden talents??

She posted on the noticeboard:

Tomorrow, Monday, will be the decoration of the Christmas cakes.

Christmas Eve will be the making of Christmas puddings. René Artois has declined to be here due to a nervous condition but he is sending his friend Michelle (of the resistance) in his place.

Christmas Day and Boxing Day will obviously be non competitive....

Not sure I should be the one to talk to the Pompier, Miz Spelling, as I reckon that's a management issue. Are you scared of him?

I'm afraid I have no exotic seed stories to share. Your Octopus Orchid sounds fascinating, though. I've only ever tried my hand at something like that twice. The first time Mr Snoop laughed out loud, and the second time he was very critical (largely because he thought he'd do a better job), so I've not bothered since.

Might cake decorating be another good idea for a session?

good morning all said Miz Spelling,sorry i am late this morning,but i over slept,if i not know better i would swear it was a sleeping draft (not mispelt),the fan had been switched on by someome,anyhow,i appeare to have missed the start off the ruins tour,but am sure whoever is on it will find something interesting to be amused with,forgot to say,we still have bits of mistletoe on some og the trees,please do not pick any,
Snoop another good idea,ref the fire man,i thought you might like the honor,if who else would,hands up please and keep them there,so i can have time to count them all,plus another good idea about cake decorating,so if you were to read yesterdays notice board,you will see MRS Go-4it already has one this afternoon,i know it is the bake off group,but you will be able to get some info from that,,
ref the Knit &natter,Books,ext ,i hope will be able to just blend in with one another,as you are better at this than me,i also have an important meeting to attend,so enjoy yourselfes,just let me know if Tom Daily shows up,
just thought Snoop,challenge MR Snoop to a competition,post a pic and we will judge,hehehehe,as you were,for now anyway,she walked away with a swing in her step,better get a move on,

Mrs Go-4it was setting up for the Bake Off cake decorating. There were ribbons, angels, holly, mistletoe, snowmen, wise men, shepherds, donkeys, robins, bows, glacé fruits and all manner of decorations at the ready. Some of the contestants had already coated their cakes in almond paste and icing in readiness. There would be a small audience today of guests who wished to learn about cake decoration. She wasn't sure that this would be a good idea.... particularly as the bar was already open......

Snoop had been out on the pond, pretending it was a lake, and was three sheets to the wind... But she sat very patiently in the audience, waiting for the cake decoration session to start. She wasn't that bothered about icing Christmas cakes and the like but wanted to know how to use a piping bag properly. However, it looked like she was going to be well out of her depth here. She was about to retreat to the bar when someone sat down beside her, making it impossible for her to get out. She turned to see who it was...

ah thank you for raising that point MRS Go-4it,said Miz Spelling,a good point,i will have a waiter standing by with a box of breathalizer tests,your kitchen so your choice how many,or perhaps,you could instruct the special screen to open up,so the guests can observe what is going on and hear,they could bring a note book and pen,or simply video your class on their phones,your choice,




NOTIC BOARD

tomorrow as you all know is Christmas eve,

The morning will be time in the lounge for us all to gather for coffee ext,to gather our thoughts,and a wind down chat,for others,there is to be a secet santa ,if you wish to partake,please go to the reception and put your name in the box,this will then be taken into the lounge later on,where one can pull a name out,WE will then open up our gift shop, for you to purchase a small gift to wrap up,all gifts to be placed under the tree,

afternoon bake of,may be rubber necks will be watching ,

THe evening ,will be carols (no not ladies with the same name either),around the Christmas tree,the choice is all yours,please put fowards your thoughts,there will be mince pies sausage rolls ext,plus mulled wine,the bar will also be open,we are await conformation as to weather MR Golightly Organ will grace us with his precence to accompany us,if not it will be "acappella" or a mouth organ,as the bag pipes are for new years eve,hope you all have a good evening ,she walks past the tree and,well you know the ritual my now surely

A note to remind those coming to the carols round the tree,be carefull of Snoop,as mince pies ext have been mentioned,sorry snoop,but you yourself have on several occations said how you adore them hoho hum
