Flo opened her bag. "I brought these with me just in case", she said. "And just as well after our mini bar fridges got taken away."

Well, her bag might just as well have been the Tardis. Not quite Lilliputian on the outside but definitely Brobdingnagian on the inside.

Everyone was so engrossed in looking at all the goodies that they didn't notice...

.......what looked like an Egyptian mummy, swathed head to toe in bandages, tottering through what was left of the door.

"Is that the ghost of Christmas past?" croaked Snoop when she eventually saw the "thing".

""It looks like Rary, or his doppelganger, to me" said Nicos. "They must have let him out".........

"Thirsty", croaked the mummy.

Snoop couldn't abide Lucozade, which was why the bottle in Flo's bag had caught her eye. If anything was going to revive a mummy, this would be it.

Miz Spelling,heard Snoops big intake of breath or was a frighted squeal,and went to see if she was alright,when IT rushed past her and out the door,it was to quick and the shock she did not recognized IT,a few sniffs off the salts did help,on reaching the room where the girls were,they were in shock,(that will teach them not to sneak stuff from the local boozer into the room, she thought),she calmed the down,then retreated back to the office,

AS you all know,the management has been getting unexpected happenings,we are sorry for any inconvenience caused
DC S Solveit will be along to investigate,and may want to interview you,please do not leave the building
WE have now had conformation that Nick Knowles and his team will be hear,but without the camera crew,as they will only get in the way and slow them down,so please bear with us at this time,as a result the dinning area will be closed off,thank you for your understanding

With regard to our active programs being disrupted,and the work being carried out,therefore i am holding a get together in the lounge for what ever you wish,as long as you not to noisy,bring a book,knitting,crotchet,as you know the jigsaws,cards and other games are already there for your use,please note,your meals for today will also be in there,a buffet again thanks to MRS Go-4it and her team again,

NOTICE

Due to the inconveniences caused by the incidents over Christmas and the dust, etc that will be caused by the building work in the next few days there will be no Bake Off competition until Monday and Tuesday, when our bakers will be making pork pies and vol au vents, followed by their showstopper gateaux. These will be judged and consumed at the Grand New Years Eve Fancy Dress Party.... more details to be supplied by Miz Spelling. Baul and Brue are still expected to make an appearance on New Years Day to crown our champion baker.

Mrs Go-4it was now feeling pleased with herself. She had just saved her staff a lot of work for the New Year's Eve Buffet. She was sure there was no such thing as too much cake!

Thank you for your update MRS Go4it,a very wise decision,one i had not concidered,how remiss of me,i have it good authority that the work Will be complete in time for the evening tea time on Sunday,i did invite them to stay and join us,but declined as they had to get home,as their missus's have things they need doing before the new year bells ring out,Miz Spelling had another look at how the men were doing then went bake to the office,where she was brought a hot chocolate and a small slice of christmas cake,but where is the napkin,they forgot it again,good job i got a box off tissues here,

All was very quiet in lounge,where were they all,must be the noise from the workmen,

Miz Spelling came out the office,BUT why was everyone,aha thought she,and she was right,there they were out,in the snow,making the most off what was left,unfortunatly the fog was coming over from the GRO area

"Goodness!", Snoop whispered to Nicos, Flo and Bramble. "Miz Spelling is a no-nonsense kind of woman. What if the mummy was Rary?"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,said Miz Spelling,that thought had crossed my mind Snoop,way back,after all,he has not been heard off in recent days,but i asure you all,justice will prevail,goodness always wins ove bad in the end,and yes you are correct in your assumption about me,but i am also a very careing young soul,and like to help when i can,i have to go now,i have a very important meeting any time now,so MRS -G4it is in charge,taps nose,will be back later

We could try to find him and do a bit of unravelling? Flo apologised for her absence, she was sorry to have missed out on all the fun and would try to do better. She had been a bit preoccupied with Lord Ginger

Snoop wasn't one for the aristocracy but a fine cat is a dignified creature and so she was sure Lord Ginger was deserving of every respect and courtesy and worthy of being preoccupied with. Mind you, the furballs had a lot of growing up before they reached the same status.

"Unravel the mystery or unravel the mummy?" she asked Flo.

Lord Ginger has Cheshire genes so the furballs have a hard act to follow. Unravelling the mummy may unravel the mystery. We need to bait a trap. What do mummies eat?
