        A bummack is a large quantity of ale, brewed specially for a festive gathering, equivalent to 2 bolls, and a boll is 48 gallons, so quite a merry party!

                    to scurry is to hurry up,get on with it ,so my guess is get the last bitss sorted out,or prepared,

                    i only just noticed this thread,it is funny,if Miz Spelling gets stuck for ideas,then you will be asked to get that book out,that will bamboozle all,

                      She had a very posh Aunt who lived in Cheltenham who would visit at very short notice so mum had to race around the house cleaning everything that didn't move!
