Ho hum.
Looks like I'll have to retreat to the cave. Never heard of an internet browser affecting a carrot so I'll stick with them and their friends.
Maybe the carrots know better than we do..certainly me anyway.

well that's definitely odd, especially as any settings for IE should have tracked across.Hmmm Chrome and Firefox look the same, but IE7 still better
however that said, it depends as i mentioned before on how paranoid you want to be.
some people might think its a storm in a teacup, but knowing what i can do, and i am nowhere near as good a cracker as these criminals, i ain't trusting my sensitive stuff to IE for the duration. hopefully it wont be for long, the update will come out as soon as possible, although its that part that worries me, microsoft do seem to rush updates and patches and they can cause all sorts of problems when they do.Originally posted by RedThorn View Post thanks Bride. Well,I've dutifully installed Firefox(my icon is of a curled up fox with a firey tail tho'~not a planet!??have got the right thing?).Ditto others posts that the font is different...not keen & not sure how to change.Also,had to reinstal flash player for CBeebies to work....done all on my own I might add!!!(O.K...I somehoo managed to download it 5 times but it's an improvement on phone a friend!
)....My other problem tho is I can no longer right click the edge to get page up/down????
...any ideas?

not sure what you mean by 'right click the edge' (edit: do you mean down on the task bar?)

Cool!!I just got a "ping" to let me know you'd replied to my post(or maybe t'was a coincidence?)
With IE I can right click at the edge of the page to return to the top of the page....with this I'm having to manually scroll up or down....lazy I know...but you get used to little timesavers!the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

If I remember correctly,I think it was Piskie that taught me that one!??
I've sussed that if I hold my spacebar down...then it takes me to the bottom of the page & I think the top arro on keyboard takes me to the top?...got the beginnings of arthritis in my fingers,so scrolling gets a tad painful after a while!the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

ok, well try this, set of keys between the main keyboard and the number pad.... insert/home/page up /delete/ end /page down etc.
home will take you to the top of the page , end to the bottom. no scrolling required page up and page down do the same but in sections.
