Soz Love!!Think I may have an old keypad!!!Between the letters & the numbers tis nowt!!...Never mind...Sure I shall adjust!!Cheers anyways!x)
oh well worth a try I am sure someone else might find it useful, after all i didn't find out till my eldest told me last week now THAT takes some getting used to
OK Bride ~ on Google Chrome, I get all my most recently visited websites displayed on the front page when I open up.
I share a computer with other people ~ and I DON'T want them knowing what websites I visit! They aren't dodgy, but they are personal.
How on earth can I hide my history ... I've tried everything I can think of. Even deleting my browsing history doesn't get rid of this front page
use the spanner/tools tab top right.
its clear browsing history, that will get rid of it,(set it to last day, or everything) also note in the same tab, 3rd down i think, something called incognito browsing, you can open a page with this and nowhere you visit gets put in the browsing history, very cool means you can look for presents etc without a nosy person seeing where you have been.
Down loaded FF last time there was an IE problem and didn't like it much now. Am trying to use it again and quite frankly can't stand it. I know it's meant to be better but I can't find anything and don't have access to any of my favourites. It also seems odd that it doesn't appear on the bar at the bottom of the screen (you know, the blue one that has the start thing at one end and has tabs for all the applications that are open) most of the time although sometimes seems to be there. All seems weird to me. Another thing, somebody said that IE does the tab thing, mine doesn't, if I click on something then it just opens it in the same window unless I do a open in new window right click. Am getting very confused by this and frustrated with nothing working as I want it to!

only IE7 has tabbed browsing, if you have got IE7 you need to check in the settings that its set to use tabbed browsing.
it can be very hard when you are used to one browser to switch to another, i still prefer IE myself, i just don't trust it.
Google chrome is proving very easy to use though, am liking it more and more.

This has taken me right back to when I worked for Brighton Council, and the computers went down all the time.
The IT dept would ring me up and talk gibberish, until I got totally frustrated and said "I don't know what you are talking about, but if you get off your chair and walk over to my desk I will make you a coffee while you fix my pooter"
I hate pooters

no, the update will be rolled out today 10am US pacific time ( its current 6am there i think)
advice with emergency updates is to download, but not install straight away, mainly cos within two days if there is a problem with the update the entire tech community will be yelling online.
personally i will be installing it in two days, but for those of you desperate to get back to IE, install it when you get it.

Ah, just checked and apparently I have IE6, does this mean I have potentially more problems? Re the tabbed browsing, don't want it anyway, it's really annoying me on FF.
