  • A day out

Since covid I have taken to filming wildlife with a movie camera rather than just still photos, we went to the Ski slopes in Glen Shee the other day, not to go skiing I hasten to add, but to see the wildlife. Well the snow had all gone, this weather, three days ago the road was shut due to drifting snow. This is a short clip from a longer film I put on youtube

You can have a look at the various films and photos I have done, mostly wildlife with a bit of fishing or steam trains

I can't view the clip, burnie, just see it as a still image. Some kind of tech failure, as I can see the play button. But even so, it's clear that must have been an amazing day, absolutely amazing! I would never have expected to see so many all in the one place.

If you didn't mind, would you be able to post a link to the longer YouTube film? Be great to see them in motion.

Thanks, burnie. Really enjoyed watching that. Amazing to see. Nice to have your informative commentary too. Do you often see that many together?

Occasionally, this time of year the Stags can be in herds of two or three hundred, funny really because a couple of months ago they were trying to kill each other in the Rutt. It is now Hind hunting season, so they have scattered and the Stags will stick around together until the end of the summer.
