    i was reading comic recipe in newspaper archive the first part name cut off
    it reads savoury ____sex pie any idea what blank part name Is?
    i included the full comic given people might get wrong idea given only
    3 letters you can read of pies name.
    thank in advance all who will help.

    With a bit of research you might find it.
    It’s a post WW2 English comic recipe by Patsy.
    A few books were published but I also think the cartoon strips appeared in a newspaper.
    Very much before my time, but maybe knowing that might help you find the answer to your question…(if no-one comes up with the actual answer.)

      Oh, and the ending will relate to Wessex, Essex, Sussex or Middlesex.

          Sorry, history gardening. I can't add much more to Nicos's research, except the Patsy cookery 'cartoon' strip was published in the Daily Mirror. Several different compilations of the strips were published, but it might not be easy to find the book you're interested in.

          I did find a Sussex pie, but it's an apple pie from a book first published in 1932. Obviously not what you're looking for, but the book is perhaps from an era of interest to you. It has been reprinted.
