  • Weird crushes you have had in the past?

    Or present?

    Go on, own up...

I had a bit of a thing for in no particular order a few years ago, David Essex, Robert Kilroy Silk, and Mick Hucknell.

I have had therapy and I'm fine now

    Andy Dalziel.

If Dalziel and Pascoe came round my house - Pascoe would be downstairs making tea.

Clodagh Rogers (yes I am that old ) I met her once in London, it was pouring with rain and I was in the West End, I sheltered in a doorway and there she was, she smiled, said hello and I bumbled something out sounding like a complete idiot.

Jimmy Doherty, James Martin, Richard Gere, I'd lock the doors and throw away the keys if they were here
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

              I like Andy Dalziel too.

I developed a huge crush on Leonard Rossiter in about 1988 and it's never gone away. I can't understand why no-one else seemed to see Rigsby as the romantic hero he so obviously was!

In fact I have a picture of Leonard on my wall that I'm looking at right now
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Ah... romantic. I feel the same way about Mr R. He's my real life hero... but you've got about 30 years on us though so congratulations...

Back to weird crushes - Christopher Lee, James Mason, (I'm young honest but always loved old films), Patrick Macnee. All old-school gentleman-types when I think about it...

My enduring (and allegedly weird) crush (and I know I bang on about it) is Leonard Cohen, for whom I would agree to anything... *sigh*

I must have had crushes but cant think of any. My eldest son recently sat drinking with one of the lads that was on x factor ( last year ? ) and flowers went mental when he told her cos she said next time tell him he has to come and see me. My nephew was sitting drinking with a group that I have never heard of till now and that was another jealous moment for her.

Ohhh ohhhh I like this thread

I used to love Adam Ant, then i moved onto Joe Elliot (Def Leppard) then Keifer Sutherland when he was in lost boys. Then i must have had a break until the lovely lovely truly lovely Ewan McGreggor turned up on the TV

All very odd because not one of these men look like my hubby, who isn't very tall, little pot belly. In fact my hubby does ask me why i married him as hes completely not my type!!! 13 years later were doing OK
