I recently sent off my drivers licence (both parts) , birth cert from 1968 ,marraige certificate it got there in one peice by recorded delivery ,when it was sent back by recorded delivery the envelope was open on three sides and the postman covered it with another letter.
I was fortunate evrything was still in it but it makes you wonder who has a copy

I didn't know you could do that. We get a lot of parcels delivered (eBay!), and asked our old Postie to leave them round the back if we were out: "can't do that" we were told.
Our new postie is great, very sensible... he leaves them round the back, and signs for them too
He just doesn't get enough time to finish his round.

The only problem I have with the RM is getting certificates or other things sent that say "do not bend". I'm sure that my postman sees it as a challenge!

today I got Wed's post I think: it was first class, but took 3 days to arrive since it was postmarked. Not v.good

Been waiting for 8 parcels to come from ebay for 2 weeks, phoned up RM depot to be told that they have a new system whereas parcels are not delivered every day. No other explanation............our letters arrive opened and our postman signs the recorded delivery slip himself and pushes the letter through the door!!! I REPORTED THIS AND nothing has been done.

I can say this because the chap in question is dead now. Years ago, when people were members of record clubs, (rather like today's book clubs) the parcels were a tell-tale shape. This particular postie used to take them home, open them and if the music was to his liking, tape them before sealing the parcel and delivering it late.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I definitely don't trust royal mail - all my xmas cards and birthday cards that happen to be slightly thicker than the norm have been posted OPENED. I'm sure they're having a wee sneaky peak inside to see if their is cash...the dirty <insert word of choice here>.

Sometimes our post isn't delivered until 5 at night - in saying that, sometimes our bins aren't emptied until 7 at night, so they're all as bad as each other. Drives me mad! PLUS - the postie NEVER shuts the gate...Grrrr!!!

                      Rant over
I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about!!

It's not just posties ... people just don't think or don't care.
Our binmen park our emptied bin on the flower border instead of on the path. Our free newspaper-deliverer leaves the paper sticking out of the slot, letting all the cold air in the house. Requests to push it all the way through were ignored, so I've had to put a note up saying NO FREE PAPERS.

We have a notice on our window that says No Collectors,Canvassers or Salesmen,But it is often ignored by lots of the mentioned so I am usually very rude I can't post what I say to them though.

My sis in laws car was written off by the binmen. They reversed backwards into it, didn't ntotice it was attached to them and pushed it about 60 yards down the street. Then they noticed. Then they left a note on it saying 'sorry'.

                                Another muck-up.
I had two parcels due to be redelivered today ... only one turned up. The postie said he'd look into it
