Its supposed to be unlucky to have the pram in your house, are you going to put it somewhere else or are you ok with superstitions ? Hope all goes well. I nearly had a home birth with flowers got to the hospital 6 miles away 5 mins before she arrived OH was quite dissapointed that he didnt have to mop my brow etc. The nurses looked at my notes after the event. lol.

Have you considered washable nappies?I know it sounds like a total faff...but once you get into the swing of things, actually not that hard work.....I've got to be the least organised person re washing/housework...but I absolutely loved them!!(got quite sad when they were both potty trained & I hadn't got a line of nappies blowing in the wind & shining in the sun!!!.....& the best thing is they don't need ironing!!

        Yeah, that's what I meant by re-usable.

The one's we've got samples of are made from bamboo.

Bamboo????...wow- never heard of using that Wayne!!

( first thought was it might be a bit scratchy!...and then I remembered I had a jumper made from nettles , and that didn't sting one bit!)

I had a bit of a shock with my first born too- I'd never really played with dolls and found the first few weeks quite astounding until suddenly I realised I'd not killed her off and the midwife was happy to leave me to it!

You'll love it- both of you will get stuff not quite right..and then have a good chuckle , but hay-ho....that's how we evolve and discover new methods!!!!

I bet Bean won't even notice!

Remember- there's no one right way, and if it works for you, then that's perfect.

(apart from one person I knew of whose child had a rash around it's mouth which seemed to be getting worse and worse until the parents owned up to putting scellotape across the babe's mouth at night to prevent it crying!!!...now it's just common sense you wouldn't do anything as stupid as THAT!)

Of course, they should have known you have to buy special hypo-allergenic tape for that!

I'm having the epidural on the 6th - two in fact. One in each of my slipped (or whatever technical/medical term you choose) discs.

Just considering it a trial run for LW.

Awwww, maybe on my birthday Feb 18th. You're gonna be a great daddy, I think I've said it before.

First pooey nappy is always the worst and don't worry about the sleepless nights, they stop eventually - anytime between 6 weeks and 3 years But remember, theres lots of aunties and uncles on the vine who are gonna reassure, advise and help anytime you need it.........xx
