LadyWayne and I are approx 6 weeks away from welcoming Bean into the world. LadyWayne finishes work today, we're picking up the cot, pram/travel thingy at the weekend.
exciting times HW make sure you know how to use the pram combi thingy they take some working out & watch your fingers!!!!
Part of the selection criteria when we chose it. A) was it high enough, B) could I figure out how to collapse/open it without instructions within 30 seconds to a minute. If not, it was discounted.
Ooh, you guys must be sooooo excited. I expect it can't come soon enough for you both but 'specially Lady Wayne who must be wanting Bean to "get out and walk" if you see what I mean
I was in the pub last night with some chums from college and one if the guys became a dad a couple of weeks ago and he was telling us all about it...it's so sweet to hear chaps talking about babies.
Been watching the chart that you have showing the various stages hw.Brilliant! My nephews wife just gave birth 4 weeks early.Babys fine.tiny though, going through nappies like theres no tomorrow.Have you got plenty?
Oh I'm so excited about you and LW planning a home birth! I'm evangelical about them! I really, really didn't want our little family to separated once the birth was over and Mr R to have to go home etc. and leave us in hospital.
I had a birth pool which was BRILLIANT and the whole thing (I know we were dead lucky) was looong but so amazing because we shared it on our own. The midwife came for the last two hours but other than that we diddled along by ourselves.
Plus you get to snuggle on the sofa with some Champagne, in your own living room, with your little one, within an hour or so of giving birth...
LW finished work on the same day as me, this time last year!
Massive hugs to you both! What a Christmas you're going to have! x

We've been buying various bits and bobs for months now. One of the shelves in the wardrobe looks like a supermarket shelf full of nappies of various types/sizes. We're going to try all sorts (including re-usable) and see how we get on.
It's starting to dawn on me that I know chuff all about changing nappies/ bathing/feeding etc etc.
Well, considering how quick Christmas comes & is gone....you can almost discount 2 weeks!
My last day of work before having DD seemed to be where I 1st became a blubbering idiot!!...up until then, took everything in my stride....but a tap seemed to have broke on that day,& now the icklest thing starts me off!!(not sure I can still blame the hormones??)......It's a truly magical time you're about to enter....treasure every moment!xx
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.
Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx
I think Bean is going to have an awful lot of excited 'aunties and uncles'!
Strikes me you'll be a natural at baby care HW
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
