B-Day approaches

It would appear is slightly shy like his/her father - still releuctant to show their face.

I've been sent home to try and get some sleep (yeaha right!), and LadyWayne has been moved to the delivery suite.

Two lots of induction gel - latest applied at just after 8 this evening, and they give it 6 hours to take effect (if it does at all). LadyWayne was really achy round her belly and back, and her belly went really hard. Thought it might be a contraction, but no such luck it would seem.

I've completely forgotten about my back - although hospital chairs aren't particularly comfortable.

Phone is fully charged (although my thumb has the appearance similar to that of a champion Playstation gamer), and about 10 inches from my head - just to make sure I hear it.

Pretty confident that by the end of the weekend I'll be a daddy!

Feels like sleep is a long way off at the moment - I'm usually fairly "wired" as LadyWayne recently (today) put it, but I actually feel like a coiled spring at the moment. I reckon if I were pulled over by the police they'd be sure I was speeding (and not in the mph sense).

Oh don't worry - this time of night I can do it in 8 minutes, even in my diesel mean machine! I'll be there before the police escort arrives.

Best wishes to you all, Wayne. My OH was sent home to sleep when I was having my first, they said nothing would happen until the morning. I wouldn't quite agree with that statement, but son no1 didn't arrive until 12.30 pm, so he didn't miss anything but me moaning He didn't sleep though.

My sister had her first (and only) in my Mum's bed. She'd driven over to see her, said she felt a bit odd, then wanted to push. Mum delivered my nephew, then phoned for the ambulance
