LOL at Bob and Big Hugs to FG. I hope 2009 is the year you find happiness. x.
I got a Mighty Boosh book and some itunes albums which the OH downloaded to my ipod without telling me. And he came home Christmas eve with flowers. Aah.
But, what I REALLY got for Christmas was finding my long lost half brother on Bookface [by long lost I mean my dad left when I was 6 when we were in Canada and had another family - I was told I had a brother when I was mid 20s and only found out his name a few months ago]. I only found him 11 days ago.
It's the best present ever.
He's in a proper band in Canada and owns a record label, so comes over here for weeks at a time each summer. I'm pretty excited by it all. And he's got a sister so more to come.
I got a few bottles of wine from people that know me well!
Rachel Allan 'Bake' book, BBC Good Food collection recipe book, and Womans Weekly book of everyday classic recipes. A little bag of smellies and a very pretty powder compact.
Also got a WHSmith gift card, and can't decide whether to get a river cottage book or the Carol Klein 2 book set with it.
I got a new pair of Hunter Boots. And boy did i need them.
A herb garden kit.
A pasta making machine. Now that should be fun.
A garden incinerator.
A web design book.
Some bottles of aftershave.
Lots of bits and bobs. Not forgetting the choccies
"He that but looketh on a plate of ham and eggs to lust after it hath already committed breakfast with it in his heart"
My stepson bought me a geeky T-shirt(Ubuntu)
Jigsaw(Wasgij)
Biscuits,chocs,sweets.
Coat(mother gave cash)
Still have some cash left from mother going to get new pair of Doc's(Green or red)
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.
Brian Clough
I got the Mrs somthing from Ann summers but the label got mixxed up. Cam down this morning and the MIL was using it to mix the batter for the Yorkshire Puddings.
My phone has more Processing power than the Computers NASA used to fake the Moon Landings

The Carol Klein books are good They had them in our smiths before christmas for £12.50p for the set, so if you can get them its a good price.

Hmm...I got....a new camera, an ipod shuffle (heaven only known what I'll do with it though...never used them before), carol klein journal, soap and glory body wash, cream and gorgeous toilet bag, north face wooly hat, lush bonanza box (wooohoooo), thorntons continentals, chicken run the DVD (my Dad and his g/f think it's hilarious to play on my chicken addiction), some chicken boredom busters (cool little things), and some cash (which we've already spent on things like scrummy port, some DS games, wine, food, etc).
All round - a brilliant Christmas!!!
I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about!!
Didn't Carol Klein do well this Christmas! I got some vouchers from B & Q (for guttering for the shed at the allotment), loads of gardening stuff (pink floral secateurs and matching gloves), a wheelbarrow from OH and a gardening journal and calendar, smellies, wine. Best of all, Father in law was incredibly generous and gave me enough cash to buy a little greenhouse!! So excited I've been pricing and sourcing madly already! Had a lovely day with both my sons and eldest's girlfriend.
[QUOTE=BrideXIII;334222]I got my Bet Lynch dressing gown, booze and chocs
I wanted to get one of those from asda for sons gf as she is very into leopard print but they had sold out so she got a white one instead. Gave her lots of other print stuff tho.

New fishing pole for me (10 metres and less than 1kg - just on the off chance that anyone else in the world apart from me is interested)!! As soon as it warms a couple of degrees I'll be out with that one! Lovely thoughtful gifts from my own dear chicks (fab RHS how to do everything in your garden type book, River Cottage Diary, beautiful silver scent bottle from Oman and some more fishing gadgetry). And after yesterdays wonderful whirlwind of a day the best night's sleep I've had in a very long time!
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!
