      • Well done all of you. I'm really impressed. I thought of you all today as I drove through my local town. Outside the bar stood a small very very cold group of smokers. No longer will that have to be you. Ever again.

              Well done you
apparently a new habit takes 3 weeks to form and become ... well, a habit.

              • Apologies for being absent over the last couple of days, had a bad day on sunday due to big un (eldest son) and lapsed had 6 ciggies, felt too guilty to log on, only had 2 yesterday and might have one before i go to bed but might not as i haven't had one today. Well done all of you, you all put me to shame but not going to stop trying, i thought a habit took 2 months before it became a subconsciouse habit rather than a consciouse one. 3 weeks sounds much better so i will stick to that.

                • Right then Furball, stop beating yourself up about a bit of a hiccup! Good on you for admitting it and for not saying you're a failure, cuz you're not. Tomorrow's another day so stop again then. Have your ciggie tonight if you REALLY want it, or save it for a couple of months, then throw it away cuz it'll be all dried up and even more yukky then

                  Good luck hon xxx

They had started clearing up when i stopped smoking and they felt stuffy again on monday as well. I will beat this thing, have done it before and stopped for 2and a half years god knows why i started again. So i know i can do it.

don't feel bad for a little slip, the trick is to keep trying to give up, 5 is better than ten, 1 is better than 5, and 24 without one at all is a real achievement.

one day at a time hun.

                              • Well done to everyone who's given up!!! I don't smoke myself but I have NO willpower so I'm in awe of anyone who can give up something that induces a physical craving!

You're doing really well - in fact you've inspired me to get fit (something I've been putting off for ages)

                                Thank you!
