Having read this thread several times and being nagged at by the kids, I have decided to give up the very 'few' cigs I smoke. I have not had a cig since Tuesday morning. I have had a lot of polos, told everyone in the house to steer clear of me. I even refused one when i went to the lottie!!!

I hope i can stop.

Did anyone see the item on the news about electric cigs. They have a nicotine fix but no tobacco they light up when you inhale and you blow out what looks like smoke but is in actual fact water vapour they were in leeds in a winebar and they were allowed to smoke these inside. NHS said they will look into it but wait for it £50 a packet.

great idea, but technically its still smoking yes? just not killling you or anyone else, i suppose that however is the point?
and as for £50 a packet, how long would it take you to spend that on gigs, realistically? we know MO could spend that in 2 weeks, so if they last for 3 weeks, thats a saving, i suppose it depends how long they last?

well i spent well 2 weeks ciggie money in the sales at a sport shop did really well retail was 131 pounds and i got all the bits for 42

mind you still not 100 % sure on the 15 quid rollerblades but sons been nagging to do more outdoor stuff together so should be a laff with me pillow tied to me bom lol

training bra 8 quid so guess what i will be doing in the morning hahahaha

Spending the money on something you can see, feel, use, is a great incentive to carry on isn't it Just think, you wouldn't have been able to get all those if you'd spent the money on fags would you Well done

Anyway I found an old inhalator and some capsules in the back of the medicine cupboard, they're out of date but so am I so I'm giving them a try now. I'm not giving up giving up!! Promise

You're doing really well Aunty Mo. Things are gonna be tough, its a nasty drug the old nicotene, however you're gonna beat it cos you want to. I know for a fact I couldnt give up my vices so I am massively impressed with you all.
