What do you keep in your 'gardening' bag?

Was reading about an 'essentials' bag for down the lottie. Atake home nad back rucksack thingie. Was wondering what to put in if ever I get mine

Sunhat (ha!)
Suncream (double ha!)
Antiseptic cream for stings or grazes
Bottle of water
packamac

.... over to the experts with lotties

tin for any stray seeds I find or want to collect
piece of string [no idea why]
bottle of water
carrier bag scrunched up
lots of crumbs of mud.
various packets of seed half used up
and labels...
and I take my ipod

this all gets kept in my bike basket, which is really my gardening bag of sorts.

My lottie bag is the pockets of my old fleece. Usually carrier bags, labels, string, pen, tissues, gloves, mobile phone, sometimes packets of seed if I'm planning on sowing anything. Scissors and other odds and sods are in the shed

Tea bags, coffee,cup-a-soup,coffeemate,pint of milk,twix,steak pie,packet of crisps,chewing gum,apple................and some gardening stuff!

dont have bag just the boot of my car but in the glove box a packet of various plaster's most important ....jacob

I keep nearly everything in my shed ... I have a bad back and carry as little as possible, even on my bike.

I always take a packed lunch, for energy crashes.. and some naughty Diet Coke, same reason.

I try to be organised with the plants and seeds I take with me, and prepare some labels in advance ... otherwise everything gets hopelessly mixed up.

NB: I always take my radio

As Two_Sheds, I keep as much as poss IN the shed - tools, tool-box,chairs, first aid box, couple of books, plant labels, pens, tea, coffee, hot choc & milk-powder, stove, cups, a plate, old cutlery, kettle.... Have I forgotten anything?
I do take my granny trolley to & fro though, with tap water & fresh milk in going there, and anything harvested going home.

Hmmm my rucksack contains, essentials...........chocolate, this is my little treat after 2 hours of weeding...fresh milk, to have a cuppa with my chocolate. Dog treats......the chihuahuas love the plot but like the odd treat. Secateurs.......string, plastic carrier bags for taking veg home. Hairbrush, batteries incase the radio is on the blink. Camera incase I see the birdies up close.............

Mine's a cardboard box and contains gardening gloves, water proof jacket, secuteurs, bin bags, note book and pen, bottle of water and probably a few bicces.

i don't have a growing bag, i do however have a handbag that could get me arrested, including a hoof knife, secatures, a pointed stick and a corkscrew, all essential dangerous weapons.

You may carry any amount of deadly bladed weapons provided you can argue reasonable excuse, and provided they aren't covered in blood.

for example: Carrying a sharpened Azada over your shoulder on the way to the plot can be excused as you are going to tackle that bramble thicket and can prove it. Walking into a pub with the same weapon may prove more difficult to explain

If you are wearing wellies you will get away with most things. The Yorkshire Ripper used this technique for nearly a decade.

As others,I try to keep most bits in the shed~although we have a gas-stove I still prefer to take a flask,kiddies water,biccies,bread rolls(to make egg butties)chocolate for those guaranteed times that we're there hours longer than we told the kiddies we would be,empty egg boxes,scraps for the chooks & pretty much every seed packet in my possesion.

The only thing I need to take is water milk and food as I keep everything in my shed, wouldnt be without it.
